Happy Birthday week Jadel. It was my birthday on the 2nd and I turned the big 60. My daughters birthday is tomorrow (37) and my grandson is on the 13th (6). So as you can see its a busy week for me too. The best people I know are born in April 🥰 This mandala is stunning. Such a big project and you make it look so easy. I love watching you paint. I would love to help you out and join, but I just cant do it these days. But I will continue to like and comment every time, and support you anyway I can. Your creative elements, such as putting the small black dot at the edge of the large pearl white, micro dotting fill and your black top tops, all give a beautiful elegance to a gorgeous piece!! Well done! I have a stack of charger plates to paint, some have a shiny surface. Wondering if I should sand them some then paint with black gesso for a base, what r your thoughts?
I don’t know? I wondered the same when I painted that record album but just did 2 base coats of black. But it’s kinda textured with the lines. I’m thinking if you’re using multi-surface paints it should be ok but it probably wouldn’t hurt to scratch em up a bit with sand paper? I’ve always just thrown caution to the wind and hoped for the best 😂😂😂 if it’s just for decor I think it should be fine. Thanks for the bday wishes ♥️♥️♥️

Thank you ♥️ Good question… you just want to pick the one that fits in the gap you want to fill. You can hold it up to the spot before putting pint on it to see. When going around a ring you can just use your guidelines to space them evenly. If you want it to work out perfectly you’ll have to plan it. Most of the time I just wing it and see what it gives me. LOL
Thanks Ro. Try taking one of those tiny sections (they look like wings to me) draw it on a paper and see if you can’t paint over your lines. I truly think it might be easier than it looks. Just thin the paint a bit, go slow, etc.

I have this same plate but not sure my brush ability is good enough to do this beautiful piece justice. I’m going to have to think about this.
