- Bugatti and Koenigsegg are companies known for insanely powerful and fast cars. BUT what if we could make a car with 10 times the horsepower (per litre) then a Bugatti Chiron?
Did i mention its a 170CC Inline 4 engine?
Today I build the highest specific output of any engine, ever. Then stuff it into a RWD ultra lightweight car.
Im not insane you are.
After I design the Automation Game car, I export the automation car into BeamNG and see how it drives. (Spoiler alert, its terrifying)

This car is the epitome of all show and no go, at least until you get to 11k rpm. The styling looks like an aggressive beetle, with a little Audi in the front, and the wing is looking hella clean
I was expecting the red line limit to be increased from 12,000 to 15,000, but other than that, I am very excited.
They'd have to fund new engine sounds.
you can do that later in beamng with the race ecu but it doesnt always work (power goes up or down exponentially after 15k for example)
just bumped in my drag car, it gained 1000+hp with the new update. it's now making 6500hp with 6.5:1 compression.
it was bananas before. it's going to be terrifying now. even the automation stats (which were pretty pessimistic compared to beamng) say it'll do the 1/4 mile in 7.8, which i could reliablely beat with 4500hp...

The turbo lag probably takes about a minute to kick in, but I'm sure it's exciting waiting for it to-- *OH THERES THE BOOST!!*
@@jwalster9412 it's not slow to charge by any means, unless you make the mistake to use the automatic trans from automation. revs pretty hard and if you dump it above 3K it spins all 4 instantly. problem is that it's effectively undriveable on boost. the wheels wobble practically off the car and it will spin once on full boost, even at 400+ kph...
there's the limits of running 395's on all 4's.
the compression in the game is very stronk you can make low compresion 10:1 fuel 40 psi and its like runing on nuclear power
@@jwalster9412 yes the turbo also varies on load first gears you spin at low boost because theres not enough accel and you either need to spool it or antilag

I think if you remove the cardboard roll holding the wing and add another wing then the rear would look just as good as the front.
One of my tips is to look at reference photos of cars that you like, or cars that are Similar in shape, that way you can get an idea of what is missing and what would halp.the design. Remember, alot of cars take days of hard work to design, and most are still made using clay models.

I don't understand why you think the game is "broken" or unrealistic. You compared road legal, homologated and "commercially produced" cars, the Chiron and Jesko power output with an incredibly unrealistic, unreliable, extremely expensive, overengineered (+15 quality) and inefficient engine created only for the sake of breaking a record. Consider the 1.6L with over 1000 hp Formula 1 cars engines. If we really wanted to achieve your record in real life, we could probably do it. It's just not worth the effort, investment and engineering for such thing.
After seeing he had an under 1L engine i stoped taking him serious. Then he talks about the potential HP/L if you upscake the engine. Like really!?! That is his argument. -.- i cant take him serious after this video xD

@@TwinTurBros You didnt calculated it you upscaled it. Upscaling is different from calculating. A small, low mass, low friction Engine creates Power in a different way then a bigger Engine. Thats why you cant upscale the Power of an Engine.
A big US Pushrod V8 cant rev up to 12k in the same way a small Bike engine can.
Thats why this Video is dumb and i will go as far as calling it Clickbait. The Update is not Broken but your brain.
the update unfortunately made breaking the 10,000 hp barrier impossible as the strongest pistons you can get only hold 6000lbft of tourque before they start breaking.
Edit: still possible earlier today I did hit 10,524 hp (at like 95%torque stress) so previous comment kinda incorrect
it wasnt possible before tho. not without messing with the car file. the max power engines are all grenades, like IRL.

I did a harvester yesterday at 2 am 😂😅 thing makes 6420 lb/ft at like 3700 rpm and over 4900 hp and with a quad turbo 20L V16
@@javiermurillo4404 reduce the displacement and bump the rpm up. i'm able to square the horse power to torque ratio with a 12L V16.... 6450hp and 6480nm...

I did inline 6 3.1 litre(much stroke, like diesel) single turbo with 47.6% efficiency. I did it on old version
Current F1 engines at 1.6L make up to 1000hp with a set in stone rev limiter, limited boost and fuel flow so it's not impossible
Yes but that’s also peak engineering in a sense, the max that engines are capable of right now
@@eligerman1676 And let's not forget these engines have a ridiculously short lifespan. They are bound to break in a season, sometimes multiple times.
You are actually a bit misinformed. A formula one CAR produced around 1000 hp, but you have to remember that they are hybrid, so you have to remove 160 hp for the electric motor (mgu-k).
Also, the rev limiter is not a limiting factor (pun not intended) since they are allowed to rev up to 15k RPM, but due to fuel flow restrictions you don't gain any power revving past about 12k RPM.
As the person above you mentioned, if F1 engines were to gain power past 12k rpm they would use too much fuel and get disqualified, so they get close to 850hp max that decays a little at the end of their (less than) 1800 miles life cycle.

With a little bit of experimenting I was able to get 361.4hp out of a 134 cc I3 which is 2697hp/L, because nitromethane is broken lol

This car looks actually really cool! It would be a really nice sports car if there would be a turbo 2.5 litre I5 engine in the rear with rear wheel drive. Then this car would look like a VW Beetle, have the engine of the Audi Sport Quattro from the 80s and a chassis Layout from the Porsche 911. That would be really awesome xD

You can buy a 1cc two stroke engine that revs up to 36000rpm and makes right under 1hp - so like 950/litre. They are meant for rc planes and you can buy one for $80.

Btw you can make a extremely small 3 cylinder with nitro and push 1200 hp so far all I've gotten. Also in a car with only 764 lbs of weight running 6s
I think next time in ur race cars, use ground effect and the front downforce like a mclaren elva windshield.
Also use a lip spoiler, they work well for aero but not too much downforce so you jam ur suspension and force under steer.
if a car ever needed a CVT, this would be the one.
side note: I've acheived higher than 100 throttle response, idk what the max is but definitely to 100

Insane VTEC
Larger turbines cause more turbo lag . Better to max out the compressor then adjust the turbine . Gives higher HP and you can adjust the power curve by adjusting the turbine size .
Made a 1001cc single turbo V6 running on nitromethane. Currently pushes 2,344.2 HP, 1418 NM of torque. I would love to see how much power you could get per liter now that the game has gotten some updates since this video came out.

With the new major version, (on openbeta) looks like I will have to think differently! It have yet to make a 2.6 liter or 2.7 liter I6 that can hit 500 HP or closer to that. Actually, I now wonder if it was too easy with the previous major version.

This car with a 16 speed gearbox like the 9 speed in the Gemera but with 1 more gear on the end of each shaft, somehow, would be pretty fast. It would just shift out of each gear so fast to stay between 11k and 12k rpm because everywhere else is choked XD
Fun fact: The Gemera shifts by engaging 2 gear pairs between 3 shafts with 3 gears on each to get 9 gears. That's 3 possible pairs between each shaft, and with 2 possible pairs that's 3 times 3, or 9 gears. Add another gear on each shaft and you get 4 pairs between each shaft, or 16 gears. Two more gears on each gives 25 speeds. Its really quite the amazing little gearbox, imagine a semi truck using a huge bulky one made to handle a couple thousand pounds of engine torque but its got 7 gears on each shaft, 49 speeds to choose from, one for every possible degree of inclination or one for every five hundred pounds of cargo XD

I followed along you building the engine on my own computer and after a few minutes I got 287.3 horsepower out of the 178cc engine. That is 1614 horsepower per liter using the same formula you showed. This is just wacky
edit: i just made a 134cc turbo 3 cylinder making 309.4 horsepower. that is 2308.9 horsepower per liter
yeah i think even making it a 150-200hp engine with less turbo lag and a smother curve would make the car faster, and for fun i will now replicate this engine but see if i can maintain 200+hp and get it a more usefull power curve

A nitromethane drag car makes ~11000hp out of an ~8l engine so about 1375 per liter, so it's at least somewhat possible

That engine looks pretty much like a motorbike engine. Turbo Busa engines (1.3L) are known to put down over 400HP, doesn't sound too far-fetched.
Some put down 1000 hp. Mine is a handful at only 280 whp 🤣 another 200 horsepower i imagine would be alot of spinning.
And the motor he made was .13 liters!! 10x the horsepower per liter of the common liter bike lol
If anything, this gives me the motivation to build a 'Busa engine replica on Automation and see how it goes!

The key here is that you are using metanol, both cars you are comparing it to are gasoline engines.
Drag racing cars from the 80s alredy got about 1000hp per liter.

The gearing isn't appropriate at all.
Either give it more gears and shorter ratios, or give it a CVT.
6:09, i have made a small V12 recently that has throttle response of around 112 0_o
made a single turbo 2jz GTE (3liter) and it broke my 2jz records, 1400hp
I put a max size 7000hp v16 in the beetle body with no turbos just to test the new stuff lmao
The 1986 benetton f1 car reached 1000bhp/liter in qualifying becuase of the crazy fuels, the speedfactory civic, before they totslled it, got up to 1000bhp/l as well making around 2000hp out of a honda B20, but I agree that going much further than that is a bit stupid
If we think about the extremes of 10000 hp drag cars this isn't too mad, at least it has an awful power curve to compensate 😂

i got up to 1600 hp per liter in a useable rpm. also your fueling this car on nitro methane the stuff drag cars use that happen to have their engines last a few seconds

Top fuel dragsters make 11k hp with 8.2L engines which is 1340 hp/L. Amazingly they achieve this with pushrods and a supercharger that takes almost 1000 hp from the engine to run. So the specific output you are reaching is possible in real life, but the engines only last a few seconds of runtime before needing to be rebuilt. Obviously for a luxury road car like a konigsegg this would be undesirable. And if you are going for tiny displacement obviously you get such a small window of performance that the driving experience is awful. I don't think this is really that broken, you are just making something really impractical.
I don't understand how everyone's game looks like this, why doesn't mine look like this? I've got the latest update and everything, but I can't choose spring stiffness and none of that fancy turbo stuff. Anyone know why??

Well, running methanol with an effective octane of 136 means you'll only get maybe a few gallons per mile of fuel economy, so its a tradeoff.
I don't think the owner of the car is too worried about fuel economy:P

Definitely not realistic hp per liter numbers. There are civics with 1000hp per liter but thats about as far as thats gotten. not to mention the power delivery probably isnt quite that dramatic even with those motors running 90+ psi

@@1DS9 the 2.0 from honda and the sr20 and 4g63 can make 2000hp in profesional 3 turbo compound setups , the 2jz and ls3 and big hemi can make 3000 but thats kinda the limit maybe some cummins can too

Kinda reminds me of a 4 rotor rotary engine. But yk without the rotary engine. Reasonings - Sounds similar to a rotary engine in sync with rpms, shit torque and only likes high rpms, similar tune mapping, and ofc the fact that the engine is able to handle a shit ton of boost.💀
But ofc a normal rotary would not be pushing 1400hp per liter.
