      The UFC pays off fighters at the top to be quiet. It’s why when the push for a fighters union in 2019 dropped off out of nowhere. Jon Jones, Jorge, Nate, and several others got paid behind the scenes to stop talking. Yes, I feel bad for Cyril a bit because he was being used as a pawn in this situation by the UFC and Fernand Lopez against Francis Ngannou. Everything was against Francis, especially how the MMA media was promoting this fight like it was brawns against brain, like Francis Ngannou is a one trick pony, etc. I couldn't stand how DC and Rogan were hyping Cyril up after UFC 265, like Ngannou was nothing more than the cameroonian Derrick Lewis (which I always said was bs).

We need more people speaking out for workers' rights in this country. The industry is trying to ignore & marginalize him so that his message doesn't get heard. Pretty typical in a system where workers are just exploited like commodities instead of given respect like human beings.

      I don't know, like Randy said, fighters are so selfish they refuse to see the big picture. Furthermore, one problem is management. Many fighters' managers have a very cozy relationship with the ufc, so they actually work against their clients' interests, chief among them being Ali Abdelazziz.

  • @ChristopherAdam42
    @ChristopherAdam42 Před 2 lety

    It is so hard for fighters to win a case because the UFC is based in Nevada and the Fertitta family is probably the most powerful family in the state, even if they don’t own the UFC anymore Dana’s ties to them make it very hard any fighter to have success changing things in Nevada. Even Big John and Josh Thompson said the UFC will never lose a court case in Las Vegas.
