    I much prefer the old ending theme and i like the way they put the names of the characters up in front of the house they lived in. As a new show it helped the viewer to know who lived where.

    It gets better episode per episode, from gossip to personal argument, Coronation street from the sixties really engage us into the story and its characters, family problems and discussions, all in all make the show worth watching over and over again.😊

      @cbbrownclaire62 Před 4 lety +5

      Totally. Nowadays in 2020 we have no sympathy or real interest in any of the characters in Corrie. It's getting worse and worse.
      In those days, Ken Barlow had a stronger northern accept in these episodes from the 60s I noticed. And Annie Walker sounds more northern too. This is real British kitchen sink drama, if it had been a film, it would have been a classic. I love Minnie Caldwell.

    @Auntie Corrie2 I am so grateful for your uploading these classic Coronation Street episodes . Here in the states , soap operas were about the trials, tribulations & bed hopping of the glamourous upper crust. They were so commercial, tacky & stupid . I can only presume East Enders drew some inspiration from Coronation Street . I'd be grateful if you could tell me about other british soap operas from the 20th century . please, any and all replies !

      Clair Marie In some shows, they show people eating because it was part of the story - but they usually ate ‘real’ food. It meant that what they would eat off camera could be incorporated into the story.
