Longest motorbike ride I have ever done in my life. ( I don't really ride motorbikes at all...I ride an E-Bike.) Kampot to Kep, lovely trip. Really enjoyed my 22 days there from Phnom Penh. The history and scenery was excellent. Never done everything I wanted to do. Bokor Mt. Ect. Went over to the salt plains on fish island for a beach. Never made it and turned around. Thought I was back in Indonesia (14 years) and Muslim community and mosques and nice. Open welcoming place Kampot. I will certainly go back again someday.

Was seriously thinking it was time to go back to sihanoukville, but after seeing recent videos it’s just not possible .. unrecognizable !, stuck in seim reap and hate it , no where else to go , even the thought of Pp gags me ..

I was in sihanoukville since the end of 2011 . And after years there went to kampot and hated it after a year , then Kampong Thom pretty terrible too until I came to siem reap and my 1st BurgerKing - now I wish could move back there for my little kid , but just can not - you will also have problems with kids in school . And by then it will be worse !
Battambang never been there but don’t sound any better than seim reap as far as any advantages go
I tried to locate where you are on Google maps. I like to follow travelers locations. I have the area, there are many restaurants around there. Beautiful view!

Did you go visit the many sightseeing there ? Kampot famous for its scenery and the surround nature. Chilling in the town is just a small part of it. People has different travelling experience. But i believe kampot is worth to travel for.
