- If you have ever been in a wide open landscape the most interesting thing isn't necessarily the landscape itself, but what you see coming over the horizon. Growing up in South Dakota the landscape itself can be beautiful at times, but that doesn't compare to what the sky can do, especially at night. Combine that with the landscape, and it makes for great photo opportunities.

Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Defiance, Battlestar Galactica, etc) once again helped me with some original music for the video. This time he suggested adding vocals to the mix. Brendan McCreary and his band (Young Beautiful in a Hurry) did just that. They came up with "I Forever" The single is available on iTunes www.tinyurl.com... , Amazon and other online sources.
I shot Horizons from April - October 2012 mostly in South Dakota, but also some at Devils Tower in Wyoming. From the rugged Badlands, the White River valley and the Black Hills, the horizons seem to endlessly change.

I almost travel deep into this song whenever I listen it. Such a great composition and background sceneries. I used to listen this everyday, and this song really brings me joy.
When one focus's on the edge of the Galaxy as stationary, and see that we are moving, you almost fall out of your chair..

I haven't used the 7D, but I'm sure it would do ok. I could put some music you like, and others would think it doesn't fit. The music was composed specifically for this video, by professionals who do nothing but compose music for TV and Movies. I think it fits perfectly. :)

I haven't seen the Milkey Way since I was a teenager in the 70s. I remember staying up all night just looking at the sky watching the Milkey Way fade away to the morning sun remembering where I saw it last and you have a shot in this video that does exactly that Thank You : ) I even remember seeing stars in the sky during the day you captured that too ! I've heard the only place that us Califorians can see the Milkey Way is in Tahoe. It was a nightly occurrence here in the Big Valley until the towns grew and their lights blocked out it's glory : ( Thank You for your videos so myself and others can see what we are missing.
Several years ago we had a big blackout here on the west coast. People were panicking , I was so excited because I was going to see the Milkey Way and all the stars once again. Buuuut the lights came back on right before nightfall : ( Thank You once again for your Beautiful and Amazing videos. Peace and Love : )

There are so many people here saying that the music doesn't fit. They don't know what good music is. They probably want some trance or Yanni. I'm sure these are the same people that would have told McCreary that taiko drumming and battlestars don't mix. First of all, how the hell did you become such good friends with Bear McCreary? I love his occasional forays away from film scoring. This is a classic example of his genius.
