There is nothing proportionate about 192 days of bombardment and massacre, that has targeted hospitals and medical personnel, first responders, aid workers, journalists, non-combatants and children. This is not what self-defense looks like. Yes, Iran launched hundreds of missiles in response to the assassination of senior military personnel in their own embassy, but it gave advance notice and focused on military targets , ensuring a maximum defensive response, and minimal casualties. The whole response might not have occurred at all if the UN Security Council had rightly condemned the attack on the embassy. But rather than scold Israel, they demanded Iran not retaliate. What passes as diplomacy and statecraft these days is pathetic.
