The start of an adventure; a dive into world of motorcycles that started with a 69 year old Harley Davidson and kick started one hell of a sequence of experiences...
It all started with a leap into this new world with my first bike, a 1948 Panhead chopper…
Coming in episode 2 a tribe begins to develop and we're on mission to build a 1937 Flathead for The Race Of Gentlemen....
Coming in episode 3 and 4; following the race we were on a mission to ride this 80 year old bike across the country.

Russell I find it interesting to see I am a Harley lover got 8 from 1937-1974 and at least 80 percent are pricks maybe 90percent if you go looking for knowledge on building or rebuilding a scooter

I was in when I saw the apes ! Been riding apes for 32 years now my last build the one I kept is a hardtail wish bone frame no stretch 40 rake. I run a 99 evo that i rebuilt got a morris m5 magneto head work cam carb but kept it at 80 inch and I am happy with it . I run 24 inch bars have a suicide clutch and jockey shift with no front brakes to keep the bars clean no grips either I use skateboard grip tape for that . Kick start only with capacitor so I have no battery either. Good to see some good iron tierd of seeing baggers with 30 inch front wheels and a 5000 watt stereo 10 inch screen and heated grips and seats.......lol.......new shit sucks !

I just went with the thumb nail of your video and skipped alot I guess but now I see we ride the same and you have a pan also the way it should be couldn't afford a pan and didnt want aftermarket so I got the evo instead which to me is a brand new engine but time Flys now it's like yesterday's shovel . I wish more people realized how fun a jockey shift is like a hotrod car. Always wanted to get like ten guys together who ride that way and call it the suicide clutch. ........lol......be safe out there !
Bunnyshooter 223 short answer is no. magnetos are “stock” ran on pre-1970 big twin harleys (knuckle/pan/shovelhead); however, you can also find magnetos for cone shovelheads (1970-1984) and big twin evos (1984-1999).

35 years ago i got a bank loan to buy leather jackets for my brother and i. i still wear that jacket today. his was stolen. those fn motorcycles have ruled my life and having a accident at 43 years riding i do believe it is a mathematical anomaly you cannot avoid. i got back on of course. it does look a little different over the headlight now but fuck it. ride on brothers
