If it is gonna be cancelled, then this is a big disappointment. Another Jurassic Park/World centric survival game getting cancelled is just disappointing to see.
Hopefully it'll find a way. Like Ian Malcolm says, "Life finds a way".
Maybe it’s getting cancelled because they knew the game would be woke and would flop so they don’t want to take that risk and decided to scrap the idea.

tmw everyone has been asking for a proper Horror survival with dinosaurs and prehistoric animals only to fear the worse of it being cancelled as a possibility.

This may be the biggest F-you that we've ever gotten regarding to Jurassic video games.
The subject matter of the game is the biggest reason why it got canceled it's because it's simply wouldn't have sold anything okay you can't fight the dinosaurs because of animal rights groups not wanting you to shoot animals even though they've been extinct for the better part of Millennia and another topic for there is it would have Focus strictly on the protagonist who had no relationship to the previous events in the film which is another reason why so they've made the sensible decision to just simply put it out of its misery they just would have been another Neo woke gen Z title that has no meat on his bones we are simply better off with them shelving it and going in a different direction it's heartbreaking but see video games just aren't entertaining edgy or satisfying anymore because they're trying to establish a message rather than tell a story
The modern gaming industry was crashing long before Jurassic Park Survival was announced. Development studios have become complacent with what they put out, all at the whim of shareholders and corporate higher-ups.
It doesn't surprise me that Embracer Group let so many developers go in order to preserve themselves. Video games have become a shell of their former selves and customers have finally started catching on, so their money started going elsewhere. Not to mention there is a certain consultancy group that is trying to push political ideology into our games, and that is also contributing to what is basically the AAA industry crash.
That's pretty much what this is
Politics and any type of entertainment don't mix because that's how you lose money because people have their own opinions

I doubt it is canceled. These kinds of deals take months and months of negotiations and then even more months of preparing and signing contracts. The fact that the deal was finally announced means that they've been negotiating for probably a year at least. Which means, they wouldn't have announced a new game and dropped a trailer featuring gameplay without being certain that it was included in the negotiations, just a couple of months BEFORE the announcement of the sale. With the release date and judging by the footage we have seen, this is a 90% finished game, tied to a multi-billion dollar franchise. Only an idiot would cancel it at this point and lose the rights. Sure, we've seen that in the past (Bioware, for instance) but that kind of stupidity is rare. I could be wrong of course, but unless they announce delays or confirm cancellation, Survival is most likely still on track for release.
Well, it sounds good in theory, but reality likes to kick people in the balls all too often, and says to wake up before we should ever get our hopes up for anything good to ever happen. Just because there's a 1st trailer out there now, it doesn't mean that it won't get canceled eventually. If anything sounds too good to be true, it probably is unfortunately.

All we can do is hope that development is pretty far ahead but with the release date of late 2024 theres obviously still alot of work left i assume. All we can do is pray it hasn't been effected and goes smooth. This game would be a dream man!

This happens all the time. Great looking game gets announced, trailers come out. Silence, then gets cancelled. Case in point, Prey 2.
A sequel to the 2006 cult classic that made an impact at E3 2011. But behind the scenes Bethesda held off funds as part of a hostile takeover of Human Head, (Prey’s developer) and when Human Head wouldnt budge, Prey 2 was cancelled and then Bethesda slapped the Prey title onto the game Arkane were making, in order to retain the IP rights, despite Prey 2017 having nothing to do with Prey 2006 or its sequel. So, yeah. It happens more than you’d think.

Ok see here’s how Universal handles games associated with them. If a game is making money, it stays. If it’s not making as much money as those other games, shut it down. That’s what happened with Jurassic World Primal Ops. That one JW mobile game that shut down in 2022 because of this exact reason.

While I do understand the need to worry I will HIGHLY encourage anyone who watched this to not think the game has been cancelled simply due to a lack of acknowledgement during the massive layoff. I will wait until confirmation from the studios behind this game that it indeed has been cancelled, until then I'm pumped for the release & will let them cook 🍳

If we assume that the cards are more in favor of a cancellation, it might just be an attempt to start a petition inside and find enough votes that are in favor of Jurassic Park Survival being released. When I saw this trailer, I was already thinking about what a second part would look like. So much for leaning too far out of the window. But if the game is actually called off, it will be a big loss
I don't know how accurate that December 2024 is either. I've seen alot of games that will just put for example December 31 on Amazon until they get the real date. Either way hopefully the game does come out

I would like to believe that Universal wouldn't let this fall through the cracks, the same way Disney and Lucasfilm won't let the KOTOR remake fall through the cracks. These are both games fans have been clamoring for and interest is at a massive high which they know means profits. sadly though, you can't predict the future so we just gotta wait and see.

Was living under a rock until recently after I got back into my Jurassic Park/World phase. I saw the trailer for the game like 2 days ago and now hearing the news it might be cancelled is pretty disappointing. But let's all hope it is still going to be worked on even if it means a delay and that it might just happen.

From a business standpoint I think it would be foolhardy for them to scrap, shelve etc. this game not even from just a biased point of view but from the potential success from all the hype it sprung with the surprise of the announcement trailer. I think if anything there should be another live playtest trailer of some kind or maybe a small beta release and test the waters before really saying ok time to wave the white flag again, this could be a game that shakes the gaming world that they could easily profit off of

No confirmation that it's going to be cancelled, it just seems more likely now than ever. Especially given our luck. It's clear that they had no intention to cancel the game, so, with their worries they went ahead and released the trailer to hopefully show the new Company how big of a reception it gets from the audience so it doesn't get cancelled. That's my logical thought process behind it all though

I'm on the fence, I don't want it to get canceled, but I also don't want them to cut corners or try to release an unfinished product that is going to damage the prospects of any future games. I feel like Universal should vet the teams that they entrust the license to more carefully.

This is the only game I see that looks good and not overly graphic regardless of the games I rom and have digitally I have a vita and I just bought lego jurassic world for my Samsung galaxy s23 fe and I can play with a bluetooth controller!!!! I'm so glad I'm giving it a go and it does look very pretty also I hope some jurassic park game gets made they can even do one on playstore of its own game we can use a good scary jurassic park game!!!!!!
