  • We will be teaching you how to use and when to use turf titan thatch buster, to dethatch your lawn with a liquid dethatcher. Do you suffer from a thatch layer and you don’t want to remove the nutrients with a mechanical dethatcher? Would you rather let your lawn do what it naturally does, and break down the thatch and feed itself? Well then, Turf Titan Thatch Buster is your answer. If your air temps are above 50 degrees and doesn’t freeze at night, you are good thatch buster. If you have any questions, comments or concerns on it, feel free to reach out to me at info@diygrasscare.com.

    • @TheGreenerLawn
      @TheGreenerLawn  Před rokem +1

      Might be some truth to it, molasses will help the microbes (that you have), not create them, energize up and break down thatch. (Our lawns can do this naturally as long as it’s not being overpowered). This adds the microbes that do this action, so we have more to accomplish the task, not just get the ones in there energized.

    how much of this stuff can you use annually? limit on oz per 1000 per year?

    • @TheGreenerLawn
      @TheGreenerLawn  Před 9 dny +1

      @@igormord8636 they recommend 6oz per 4-6 weeks is all you “need”, if you does more, it’s not exponential, as they are living organisms and overcrowding just means something will be out compete (likely the same strain, unless others compete for the same resources). So it’s more wasteful as the microbes over compete their their selfs resulting in loss of your product you applied.
      My guess and this is pure speculation, and no where founded in facts, but most things like this they under dose, because they know people are moreon’s, not morons… a little on is good so MORE ON is BETTER… so they under do it by a margin. I know that’s how herbicides sold to consumers work, pro products are way higher concentrated by far! I bet it’s the same.
      I’d say you’re realistically 30-36 oz max a year for most places for this per 1k. Most people prob will be 18-24oz

    How long will does thatch take to break down. Like how many years would it take to get rid of a few inches

    • @TheGreenerLawn
      @TheGreenerLawn  Před 4 měsíci

      Too much thatch (above1/2 inch) will choke out the grass and could cause fungal issues before the grass could break it down. Normally if there aren’t any stressors that are causing issues on your lawn, your grass will break it down easily and quickly that you will never know.
      So, how long? Heat helps break it down as the microbes are activated and will break it down.
      A few inches of thatch would decimate your lawn before it would break it down.
