I think you need to make a treehouse! Big enough to sleep guests. And of course with a slide to get down.
    An alternative:
You need a secret hideaway, a secret cave to retreat to, of course with a pool, halfway in and out…
    But if you need a small(er) project…
Oliver needs a place to play. So some nice playground equipment would be nice to be able to have his own playground. Together with a relaxing bench so you can sit next to him…

If I were you, I would drop two shipping containers, stacked at the back of your container storage shed. Here’s why.
You can also put a full water drain system underneath it with catch basins and a water storage tank that can be pumped back up to your top tank when needed.
If you were to do the stacked containers, not only could you put an inside staircase to your rooftop deck, (which could use a higher cover to protect it against the elements)
It could also seal the back of your shed to provide three sides against the elements for working on equipment, keeping wood dry, etc. and provide more storage for needed heavy equipment tools. You could also carry your deck around the side too(bonus)
    Just my thoughts.

@williambryant5946 it's an all steel and glass door with awkward leverage caused by off center weight. The design has been around along time, but carefully engineered, including fall arrest systems. Riley has banked his safety on a hinge at the top and two rollers at the bottom, and two cables, all burdened with a lot of forces fighting against them, and I doubt there is an arrest system in place. Long story short, if anything fails, the entirety is crashing down rather than rolling from an overhead track. This door worries me.

I upgraded my wood stove a couple years ago to a Blaze King - Sirocco 20 in my on grid remote house in Northern British Columbia. It’s one of their smaller models because my house is only 1100 sq feet. As part of the remodel I also reinsulated the the whole house. Blaze King stoves are super efficient and of a superior air tight design with a catalytic reburner to keep the chimney super clean. They are quite expensive at +3000$ Cdn - but I went from burning 10 cords of firewood per year in the house to burning less than 3 cords. You only have to load it 2 or 3 times a day when burning it 24hrs and you only have to clean the chimney a couple times a year. It was well worth the upgrade!

I am amazed at the fact you only have one bedroom in all those buildings. Also concerned that the workshop is beneath your home because of fire risk and noise. Have you considered walling in some of the new equipment shed and insulating it as a workshop? Do you need a double-height workshop that you can use year round? It seems the most logical solution would be to extend the floor of your home into some or all of the upper part of the existing workshop.

Maybe fabricate a large wide spiral staircase with a roof ( roof for shade and weather protection and possibly consider closing it in partially with a woo or metal skin and handrails for the deck and around the office chimney. Remember Oliver will be sneaking off to climb things around home and you want to make everything as safe as possible , because every parent, no matter how careful and attentive loses track of an exploring toddler for a few seconds now and then. ) for easy access to your container shed rooftop deck.

The chair lift will be a great project. You should also consider a zip line. I built a 200' Zipline and my kids loved it when they were younger. Definitely a Tree fort/tree house is needed when Oliver gets a bit bigger.

So for the Easter eggs on building more (if that’s what you mean)? I think….
    1) fix the whole around the pole in the office
    2) add stairs and rails to the roof top deck where the equipment lives along with a solar panel half roof (like at the house) to have enough power for the winter months.
    3) a space for Oliver
    4) fix the generator
    5) complete shallow well for permanent use
That may have covered the ongoing lists 😉😂

Great job you guys.. I also look forward to Sundays when you release a new episode. I am 74 years old and a jack-of-all-trades. My brother was a plumber, my BFF is an electrician and his brothers are all carpenters, so I have learned all I know from them. You do need to build Oliver his own room, oorrrrr build yourself a larger room and let Oliver have the smaller existing room. If you are not able to go out with an "addition" than go up. The well is a good idea, rent an digger with a "loooonger" boom and dig the existing well deeper and wider so you have a large reservoir which overcomes the slow refresh rate and extended dry spells. Then use a series of "concrete perforated crocks" to create an underground cistern. Good luck and God bless.
    Regards
    Wayne

Thank you for the video. It was a great walk down memory lane. I found yall when you were building the truck camper and would catch a video every now and then and have to catch up on what I had missed. I caught on of the early Idaho videos and I have watched every video with in hours if not minutes of it coming out. I appreciate yalls energy and the content is always entertaining.

an interesting and relaxing video, though I did play it back at 75% speed to allow my less than perfect hearing time to catch up. I did take the where and who am I test. I found that I lead a huge range of really interesting activities, none of which I actually know about, such as my musical career, sadly I am close to tome deaf, so that is not me. However, this was all about your build and what a job you have made of bringing this to life. I am not sure how long Oliver's tent will suffice for him, children have a disconcerting habit of growing, really fast at certain stages of life, and if Mk II arrives, thing might get tight, tent or no tent. I must pay my respect to Courtney's skill with all thing construction, you have the perfect feather light touch on the controls, without which I am sure progress would have been far more limited. So, continue to enjoy your life, flattening the challenges and keeping your family in comfort, while minding your own business. I thank you for giving me a tiny peek into your hugely successful take on life

Good morning Courtney, Riley and Oliver! Well the coffee isn't completely consumed yet so we'll probably have to watch again to pick the Easter eggs.
    1. Shallow well becoming permanent water solution.
    2. I can imagine some kind of snow fun. Tow rope for your winter wonderland.
    3. Bedroom for Oliver
    Well I'm just guessing lol!
Great video btw. Deb and I never miss a video. It's the start to our Sunday. Probably another comment after watching again looking for clues. Love you guys!

Welp (speaking from experience) you're gonna need to expand your living arrangements. Every new child (we have had six) has forced us to rethink our living space. Sooner or later, Big O will need his own space. Then (assuming you welcome more young 'uns) more space after that. At the moment, you have no real "living" room, only a short space for a couch. Amazing how you have compacted all those practical amenities in such a small space. I am rather impressed by all the things you two have accomplished in such a short time, and I must say, your channel has worked its way up to the top of my list. Best of all is seeing how Courtney takes all these things with a radiant smile.

If you are away from home a lot, something you should invest in would be a soapstone stove for heating. If you can load the stove every four hours, you got a great stove for heating. I personally use a woodstove just like you with 30,000 BTU. It heats my whole place with free firewood that I have cut down and usually seasoned for two years. I usually burn most of my boxes and paper with hardwood. Not much goes to recycling if I can burn it for heat.

I always appreciate how everything you guy build is so functional, and with a purpose on improving your lives. That said... The desktop image on Courtney's monitor, and the front grill hanging on the post in your shop has me wondering if you might be planning on building yourself a vintage off road truck of some kind? (you know... just for fun!) Whatever it is, I will gladly be watching.

We put an incinerating toilet in our lake cabin 5 years ago after the outhouse was condemned (for good reason, it had a shallow "pit" and was 25 feet from the lake.) Many of our guests are fascinated by it and get excited about our willingness to allow them to make a deposit. The only real downside is that it does use 2,000 watts per cycle. Our cabin gets electricity from a utility company. Including the liner it costs about 40¢ per use. (We usually urinate in a bucket. This is more of a hassle but saves us 40¢ per deposit!) Our property is mostly rock with a thin layer of soil so septic systems are challenging. We got our Incinolet brand toilet used for $200 from a friend (who had previously used it in a guest cottage until they got around to connecting it to their septic.) It was in excellent condition and only needed to have the catalyst material replaced ($140.) We've gone through nearly 1,000 liners and are still completely happy with it.
