It's interesting to see how the writer of a book read it out loud. We get to see how words and sentences are put together from the mind who wrote them. I used read many lines from this scene differently, like where Brody said "you're glad he committed suiside?" I thought he would have had more of a shocked tone. It's really cool to see how the writer writes and says it out loud.

I think the awesome thing about comic book is how it lets the reader have an influence on the story. Wether it's pacing or how toning in the voice.

Thank you @markcrilley. There are great Videos! Only recently discovered your channel. Went through the entire How to Make Comics/Manga playlist in a few days and I must say there are some amazing stuff here. Excellent tips and I'm so glad I came across your channel.
I'm a writer myself, and currently working with an artist preparing our own graphic novels//comics and even though our styles and themes are very different, I find that a lot of these rules are universal. It is an inspiration to see your videos and all the tips you give. It feels great when I already do what you say works, and feels even better when I spot and fix a mistake in our story board thanks to all the stuff I learned from your videos.
I'm currently consuming all information I can find on creating and releasing comics, trying to put together the best work we possibly can. First pages are already complete (story and storyboard are fully complete, but we look at the pages we haven't drawn the final version of from time to time as small changes might come up) and we are moving forward. No one is paying us to do this, we are doing it on our own time and hope we will be able to gradually shift into the comic industry and do more and more work into the future, while hopefully making some sort of an income out of it.
My latest concern and worry is something you mentioned in your videos. Our Graphic Novel // Comic sinking like stone because we do not promote it enough. If you happen to read this Mark, any chance you could do a video on ideas of how we can go about promoting our comics? I know this can be a very wide subject and it will be hard to cover, but maybe you can share ideas we might have never considered. We live in Cyprus (small island in the Mediterranean sea) and sadly the comic book scene here is not that large. Our stories are in English and we are hoping to maybe one day share our work with as many people as we can around the world. And so our aim is the internet and online digital comics (perhaps this narrows down the idea for a video. Or, if I may be bold, a small reply here to the comment with a couple of suggestions if anything comes to mind?
Either way, great videos Mark keep up the great work. Definitely interested in Brody's Ghost and will be buying the series. (So we can also study it, take it apart and learn from it)

I remember how I discovered Mark I coming across his Miki Falls series (to this day it's my favorite series of all the novels I have read thus far) and followed his videos ever since. Now in college, I decided recently to return to my desire and make some web comics with my hobby of digital art. This video helped me approach flashbacks vs. the actual story.
