Mark, I'm an installer at a shop and I've never had any formal training on fiberglassing techniques. Long story short, we don't have anyone at the shop that's good at fiberglass work and by following your videos closely, I've successfully been able to complete fiberglass projects at my shop. My shop has tools I don't personally own, such as the router table, and just that one step alone has helped me take my installs to the next leve. Thank you for your dedication and your knowledge. Cheers!
All the natural tones look sweet, and I agree with taking your time it really makes a differance!
cant thank you enough...im converting a campervan an you have solved many of my problems with this knowledge...thank you from the uk...
I'm actually an upholstery guy and I've been watching your new videos for a while now and I just started watching the older ones to see what I've missed and they're very informative as well!
Thank you, I do my best to make them easy to follow, and to show products that the average DIY’er can afford. Thanks for viewing and the rates and comments, I see on your channel you watch a lot of my videos, thanks man!
seriously you really explained to me how making custom door panel can be done easily if you TAKE UR TIME...thank you so much
You asked for comments, so PLEASE take this as CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I LOVE these doors and the designs. I don't care for the suede, but the vinyl looks really great. I also love the look of the mid-range, but the tweeter looks cheap for such an amazing, custom application. Thanks for your continuing motivation for custom installs!
I am happy you took the time to show us these things..you save all of us DIY.We love u !! and we r in your debt.
I'm building a Factory 5-33 Hot Rod.... VERY tight quarters for adding audio. Just this series alone has helped me think through some real issues I'm facing. You can bet I will be scouring your site for more info. JUST GREAT... Thank you!!!!
Nick
After watching these last vids i am not afraid to try this on my car. A lot simpler than i thought they where.
Well done! This video is now 6 years old. It's very interesting to see how your work has evolved over the years and the quality has improved. But the quality was very good in 2013. It is several degrees better now in 2019.
Thanks for the positivity! Doing my best to keep improving and sharing what I learn.
Hey great job! I am finishing my Lambo Diablo dash door panels and console. We got shut down by Audi for manufacturing Replicas and this was a huge help. My upholstery guy died in the middle of the last car so this has been good fortune to find your video sir!
Mark, I want to give you big thanks. I've been doing car audio as a hobby for almost 20 years and now I'm getting a little more serious about it. I am a cabinet builder and trim carpenter by trade. Thinking about opening a fabrication shop but I'm doing my truck first... It's a f350 diesel. Just started wiring and building a amp rack this past weekend. Getting really excited, but also want to take my time and do it perfect... To wrap things up... Big thanks to your videos they are really giving me those "tricks to the trade" that I needed to sharpen my skills.
THANKS
JFLEX
Black suede sets it off love the design. Contrast of colors is nice. Love the reverse mounting technique.
Thank you! Appreciate that, keep watching, commenting, and liking, it really helps me out!
I definitely like how it maintains the factory look. I've used alot of your tips and techniques on my most recent build and usually come to this channel when I'm having a bit of builders block myself. Always have great ideas
Even 6 years (nearly)on, your videos are excellent. Been trying to catch up with your work. All strength to you. Your workmanship is commendable. Ta, cheers, peter from Australia
Thank you! Im glad that you enjoyed it!
Im a manager for Audio Express. After watching all your fg door pod videos, my install crew turned out a pod build that will set us apart from all the 10k local shops we have here. My client $#!& in his pants when I demoed the car. He said this was the most perfected job he ever got. Thanks for all your time and detail you put into all your videos. With comments I got today, Im a very happy Mgr. Thanks
Thanks! Glad you like it, thank you for watching!
I needed this vid Mark!!! 7 years later and a very helpful series. About to wrap mine once the A-pillar/dash pods are done. Waiting on chop mat and SMD SunFlash!!!
Takes a lot of time, but the finish is so FANTASTIC!
Your so talented and I am always amazed at your final fabrication projects overall quality n visual appeal. I’m inspired to start my interior project with full custom car stereo installation. I’ve been building and customizing every vehicle I’ve owned since I was 15 years old. Each one gets better and cleaner every time. But I’ve never stepped up my game to include the interior and electrical until I found your channel. I’m hooked and you’ve got my support here on out Mr Mark!
Clean, understated. Detail touches enhancing the factory appearance without being gaudy. I like it. A lot.
This turned out a lot cleaner than I was expecting when I saw your first video. Keep up the good work and thanks for the insperation
You are welcome, thanks for saying thank you, it keeps me going.
I think your door pods came out crazy clean. You make it look easy, if took me a few days to complete a pair of pods from start to finish but they came out clean thanks to your videos
very informative and educational. i have a '93 civic with some door panel "issues" and your videos have really motivated me to build my own custom inserts and panels. Thanks very much!
I've been doing fabrication for about 8 years now. I do most of my work on Trackor rigs, and 1 ton trucks. I got to hand it to you, you did a pretty good job. This job makes you look like a pro. Nice clean edges, no crinkles. Man this is a nice job. I might have you do my truck since I don't have the time.
Honestly one of the coolest speaker instals i have ever seen. can't wait to see more videos!
What a great idea you’ve done such a great job and gotta tell you... you have made a huge success of your talent, so big thumbs up !!! But sharing this as you have is truly a gift you’re giving a lot of ppl who may have chosen this over bad life choices. Bravo!!!!

Haha thats an awesome compliment thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Keep watching :)

Love the design, especially how you made them look as factory you much you can, but still have some unique look.
Amazingly Clean. I'm impressed and blown away at how a little prep makes it happen so easily. Keep up the good work.
That looks really nice I just finished wrapping my box and side pieces. I would have never done that till I saw your videos
No problem, thanks for saying thank you, it means a lot to me.
It's awesome to see how you take your time from the first video to now and going forward it really gives me confidence that I can do it as well thanks a mill for the videos
They awesome. I love how smiple you made everything look. Im gonna do my car door panels now. Thanks bro keep it up.
im going to try to make door pods for my ranger with 3 way components. thanks Mark for taking your time to make these videos.
Beautiful work. I remember working with a heat activated spray glue. After applying to both sides, The heat gun would activate the glue, and the heat makes the vinyl more pliable.
This is a great resource, thank you for your time and energy putting it all together. Thank you for the shared knowledge
Hey Mark thanks for the grate learning curve.
It learning me alot as I'm already started on my ranger door panels a few months back I builded my own router table just to do all of your stencils ideas so that I can get my door panels and my sub inclusions done thanks 👍
This videos have been what i was looking for clearly explained. Now i'm ready to try and make my door pods Thanks for the videos can't wait to see how you mount the panel
I'm truly inspired by your work. I especially got fired up when you did your dad's car. Him and I are around the same age. So I thought why not. I've a couple questions. I would love to get opinion on my build plan. You are truly a professional. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and skills.
Love your videos! I am just learning about fabrication, been researching for the past couple of months and I literally check youtube everyday waiting for more of your videos. I love the detailed descriptions!
Love it, super detailed oriented. Exactly what's needed to DIY.
Haha thats awesome! Thank you for watching I appreciate it! How did your rings turn out?
I think they look amazing, it's because of these videos that you do that I've purchased some equipment and actually made a set of component rings for the first time. I even had to chuckle a little bit when re-watching these videos because I realized I also purchased the same set of components you're using in the videos.
Thank you! I appreciate the views!
I know this video is old but I just started watching your channel a couple years ago and I have to say, AMAZING JOB! They look so clean and really look like they belong and not a funky custom crap job
There is a lot I could have done differently on this. Been learning over the years!
Man every time I watch the videos on the pods I change my mind on how I want mine to look. Thanks again for this great vids I wouldn't have any idea on how to even being to start without them. Keep them coming.

I’ve been wanting to build speaker pods for my door O2 lightning for a long time now I think I’m gonna buy an extra set instead of using the original ones And get started. Mark you are my freaking hero. You build some off the wall In a good way but top notch out of the park and then some just sweet stuff man. I am the same way. Pay attention to detail I like for things to be noticed without being noticed if that makes sense
Excellent 6th video in the series. I have watched all of your door panels pods video and I have got a lot out of em .

Great video series! Every step is easy to understand and implement. If I didn't have 3 other projects underway, I'd run out and start my door panels.
just re watched the whole series. great job! definitely inspired me to go a different rout with my door panels now! keep up the hard work and sharing the great tips!
Awesome video. I am going to try this. I think i may wrap the insert in a speaker grille cloth to hide speakers though. The techniques covered here are great. Thanks for taking the time to cover this in detail. Best video out there.
I don't like the design of the panels all too much, but you did a great job, they're very well built and your videos are by far the most helpfull ones on youtube.
