We took our college age daughter to the Snow White dinner. She loved it, and we did too! Characters spent good amount of time with us. Food was delicious. 👍
Oh man! I LOVE Artist Point! It’s a must do for us every trip!!! But it’s so interesting to see how everyone has different experiences and perspectives on each restaurant!

I had the “stroll through nature” gnocchi meal at Artist Point and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had 😂 Funny how everyone’s experience is different. We all loved it and it is on our list to go back to because I still think about that meal 2 years later. One day we want to stay at Wilderness during Christmas time
Fort wilderness is one of my favorite resorts 😍 it’s like 2 vacations in one imo! Disney and a relaxing vacation in the woods

I think Wilderness Lodge is better for longer trip. Because it's chill, you might not want to get food just from there etc... But because you mainly do split stays with your family, you end up either having to run everywhere or want to do everything in the same place. I know that this is a favorite for people coming from oversea.

I appreciate all of your opinions and reviews but this one surprised me from you. this has honestly been my favorite character meal and I've done just about all of them. I thought this was the most interactive and the characters took the most time with us.
My toddler wasn't a fan of the food but loved the experience and the characters . I loved the food and thought it was comparable if not better to topolinos. I moved this above topolinos!! I guess everyone has a different opinion!

Coming in November and Wilderness Lodge was on our short list. Ended up booking a split stay at Animal Kingdom and The Grand.
28:46 we love it at fort wilderness !! We usually rent a camper and stay there when we come down to Disney. There are several companies that’ll deliver and set up the camper. You guys should definitely try it sometime !!

As someone coming from a tropical country, wilderness lodge is so interesting because we can try out some kind of American style feeling. My top place to stay next year. Hope to secure good price

Wilderness Lodge is my favorite! We had a great time at Artist Point but ordered different food. Whispering Canyon is delicious and I agree about the quick service shining. Sorry you didn’t enjoy it. It has a wonderful splash pad and pool too!
I had a reservation for Artist Point but I just cancelled. I had really been on the fence anyway about the food choices.
I do really want to try the Pork Shank….i think that looks delicious, but we can’t go just for that.
We loved staying at the WL resort but I would say the food is a low point. We loved geyser point (the campfire chocolate mousse omg 🤤🤤) and roaring fork (skillets seemed too much food!) but didn’t have any desire to go to whispering canyon or artist point. But we loved the vibes and the boat ride to MK! 🦅
Same! We have been twice and this last time we went (November 2023) it was horrible and the waitress was not very kind either. We will not be going back unless they change it. No problem as there are so many other great options instead 😁

⛰️🐻 We love wilderness lodge! We got to eat at artist point for $10 per adult for a buffet style meal while we were there during hurricane Irma! People weren’t allowed to be out and about so they made it super cheap. The food was soooo good! Haven’t done the character meal. Our daughter is extremely picky and there isn’t anything on the menu she would eat 😕 We also LOVE LOVE LOVE fort wilderness! So glad you included that in your video. That playground is awesome! We are staying in the new cabins in September for a few nights and can’t wait!

What are a few key things you love about Fort Wilderness? I want my little fam to stay there but I’m so nervous if I’ll regret it. Wait….what…new cabins?!?
@@KansasMomma We loved our stay there even in the old cabins! It just feels so different to any other Disney resort. I’d definitely suggest getting the golf cart though because it is so fun!
@@KansasMomma yes! Golf cart for sure. Sometimes we bring ours and sometimes we rent from them. It’s so much fun riding around on the golf cart. Love the old cabins. They now have some cabins that are dvc. Not sure if they are doing all of them eventually or if they will keep some of the old ones. Love the boat to magic kingdom. They have boats that run to wilderness lodge and contemporary in the afternoon. Which gives access to the monorail resorts. Love that so much. Plus the bus that runs between wilderness lodge and fort wilderness all day. Tri circle d ranch is fun for kiddos (as you see in the video). Our daughter loves it. Plus you can watch the fireworks from the beach there. They pipe in the music too. At least last time we went they were still doing that (about a year ago). Great playgrounds. Chip n dale campfire sing a long..hoop Dee doo revue..just love the vibe at fort wilderness. It’s a more laid back feel. So special. We drive to Disney world so a bonus for us is the fact that you can park at your cabin. Also being able to put our daughter to bed and close the door to that room is nice. Means we don’t have to be super quiet and we can stay up longer if we want. Can’t wait to go back in September!

Silly question; I am staying at the Riviera in the new year and am wondering if the resort busses take you to the front of Magic Kingdom rather then take the TTC Monorail?
The resort buses do take you to the front of Magic Kingdom! Only off property or non-Disney resorts take you to TTC.
The only time I recommend Artist Point is if there are serious Snow White fans in the group! Which I have a cousin who is obsessed with Dopey and it made her trip! But otherwise the food is def sub par. 😅
Yes!! My thoughts exactly after trying it! The food was so bad I'm just not willing to risk it again.
Any chance you will be doing a few Contemporary resort rooms and chef Mickey in the future? We stayed there many years ago and we use to do Chef Mickeys a lot when my children were young.
That is on my list on resorts to try out! We've only stayed in Bay Lake Tower so would love to try the main resort.
I hope your stay gets better. We love Wilderness, have stayed there a ton. I would agree though Artist Point is not good. It was much better before they turned it into a character meal. The other food options at Wilderness are good!
We enjoyed our stay with the exception of Artist Point. I've heard some others say it was better before becoming a character meal too. The rest of the restaurants here are AMAZING!
We had an awful experience at Artist Point. We waited forever for our table. I didn't like what I ordered and the waitress said, "that's the worst thing on the menu" and didn't offer to bring anything else (which I would have hoped for something small considering the price we paid!"). Whispering Canyon is an absolute blast and the bbq is pretty good. They smoke the meats on site and they are pretty good. It's much better for lunch after a morning in the park before a rest time. We always save Geiser Point for dinner when we are tired and want to relax with good food and an amazing view. Wilderness has very good food for Disney EXCEPT Artist Point.
Also, how was the walk from Boulder Ridge to Roaring Fork? Is it long? Do you prefer copper creek/wilderness vs Boulder Ridge?
It was about 8 minutes from our room. We love Boulder because of it's proximity to the bus stop and Geyser Point since we are more park people.
We went to Storybook Dining the first month it opened and had a fantastic time and the best experience! However, we went back a 2nd time in 2022 and again this past June, and our last 2 experiences were not good. The service wasn't great at all, the food quality definitely went down and overall for the really hefty price, we decided we probably won't go back again. Its a shame because the characters you meet there are great and the ambiance is really pretty.

I could tell by other reviews and the menu it wouldn’t be for us either. Which is a shame. The old Artist Point when it was just a steakhouse basically was awesome the one time we ate there. Granted it was a long time ago but it was a beautiful setting and the food had an upscale vibe. They definitely turned it into a cheap version of its former self.
I always want to love WL but every time we’ve stayed there we’ve had meh-bad experiences. I think we’re gonna cut our losses and only visit for the decorations on our Christmas trips.
Also I feel so vindicated by your Artist Point review 😂 we’ve had reservations a few times and always ended up canceling them.

Y'all should book a couple nights at the new cabins at Fort Wilderness during Halloween or Christmas! Rent a golf cart and have the most fun ever...no parks allowed😊👍

I'm sorry but I highly disagree with you here. Artists Point was one of the best meals we had in our last family trip! My mother even asked for extra mushroom soup, everyone loved the prime rib, the character interaction was great as well. Besides Topolinos, this was the best character dining at resort we've found. Out of the resorts you mentioned, AK is the best for food, followed by Wilderness.
We 'Love' the Wilderness Lodge.....but don't agree with you point of view on Artist Pt character meal. We've gone twice and the food was great both times. Character meals in general are overpriced at WDW (Topolina's breakfast may be the only exception). When planning for any character meal we take the cost into consideration, first, knowing that they aren't Victoria and Alberts. We don't particularly care for the food at Chef Mickey's but is the food why you go there? I don't believe so. Again, I appreciate you didn't have a good meal........but that's all you kept talking about, your daughter loved the Evil Queen, not getting that at any other location. Again, my wife and I love Artist Point and will be back in September. Otherwise love you vlog.
I'm so sorry you had a bad visit to Artist Point! I went there Dec last year and the food was fantastic. The pork shank over the cheese polenta was on par with the wild boar appetizer I love at Jiko. Well I guess I either had an unusually great experience or you had an unusually bad one 😕 Anyway great video as usual. Thanks! 🗻🏕🏞

@thepixiedustedmom I was surprised that you had bad food. Makes me wonder if they changed staff. I was planning to go again this fall but I may hold off now. It's too pricey to have bad food.
For the price you paid at Artist Point you'd think they had a five star Michilan chef working there. I've yet to see a good review there.

We were not impressed with artist point either I think it's so over hyped that we were disappointed. Our character experiences felt very rushed and not worth the money. That is so cool that there are just Disney characters roaming the hotel thou!

They were completely uninterested in everything there from the characters (other than Lucy with the queen) and didn't enjoy or eat much of the food. Oh they are far from over saturated, it was just an isolated event.

Love the Wilderness Lodge. Do not like Artist Point. It is incredibly overpriced for the food quality. Nice character interaction but not worth the cost at all. I never send food back and I sent the prime rib back. Very sad piece no flavor. I had them bring me chicken, that was better. But chicken for 65.00?
That restaurant is honestly the worst. When we ate there we also had the worst server 😬
