  • One of the easiest ways to grow an edible garden almost anywhere, no matter how much space you have or what kind of soil, if any, you may have, is to use Raised Beds or even just some containers.

Sure. If I can find the answer. What's on your mind?

@@TheHowDoGardener I am making my own soil mix for my fabric grow pot ranging in size from 3 gallon up to 15 gallon. I will be using Jobes Tomato and Vegetable as my main fertilizer. I am not sure how much to use as the package only gives application rates for pot sizes of 4” or 16” or a plant size of 2” or 10’ garden. Is it possible to know how much to add to a gallon of soil. This would make it easier for me to covert to each different size of pot. I have tried to contact Jobes through email but have yet to hear back.

Let me poke around some and I'll get back to you tomorrow. I do know if you're using Jobe's ORGANICS, not just regular Jobe's, it's very unlikely that you could use too much.

I couldn't really come up with a mathematical formula for fertilizer use. Honestly, I just grab a handful and sprinkle on enough to cover the soil with a light coating. Like powdered sugar on french toast. You've got a pretty big margin of error.

@@TheHowDoGardener Thanks for looking! I know it shouldn’t burn them since it a slow release but will be amending right at six yards with it and if I go overboard it’s not as cost effective.
