Interesting that Zorak the mantis always said "I am the lone locust of the apocalypse, think of me when you look to the night sky".
It's a reference to Mad Max.
Line actually goes hard
They established he was a mantis a few episodes later, though they poked fun at the locust confusion in other episodes too.
Although simple, I think my favorite line is "Every time I move my arm it costs Cartoon Network 42 bucks!"
Breaking the fourth wall so shamelessly is what makes such things so great! It’s one thing for Brak to say, “I wasn’t animated to do that,” but then to say that their existence costs money for the people airing them!
I love how crudely it's animated but it can still create such silly and lovable characters.

I had such great childhood memories with this show. Very sad one of the great people involved in this amazing show is gone now. He will be missed. RIP Clay. We miss you man.

The reason why I started watching Space Ghost: Coast to Coast as a kid is because sometimes space ghost shoots zorak with his yellow beam laser lol

zorak has been in my memory for so long but i didn't know what show it was from. i just remember my mom would put cartoons on for me in the morning and this was always the show that was on because it was so early and i remember hating it so much but i had to watch it because its all that was on. and now, 24 years later, i finally know what show it is. and that it wasn't just my imagination lol

I remember watching this in the early days of Cartoon Network (back when they shared its European feed with then-mostly film network, TNT (now known as TCM, TNT did air WCW wrestling on a Friday), and it was multilingual), so sad for the passing of C. Martin Croker, sadly missed. :'(

1995, i was 4 y/o
I was in My Granda block, Koscierzyna,northern Poland.
Deep winter, snow,cold and tons of food made by my grandma for christmas.
Me laying in bed , couldnt sleep after all the food iv been eating.
Around 2 am, i turned a black and white tv on and there was TNT channel with some 60's movies on.
Unitl this day i remember this,dont know why.
Everyvody been sleeping and me watching some american film i couldnt understand because it was in english but i loved their accent and outfits.

If Cartoon Network and HBOMax does a revival of Space Ghost,Coast To Coast(except with more swearing and adult humor),I would love to see Dee Bradley Baker replace the deceased C. Martin Croker as Zorak and he would probably imitate his voice very well.
I would think Doug Parker (voice of Mega Man on Captain N: The Game Master) or Tom Kenny (because he did the chocolate lady on SpongeBob) would work.
I think a lot of the charm of this is that they hold back a lot on the "adult humour" bit, it's refreshing when most adult shows almost desperately go out of their way to tell you it's adult humour
Help me!! Which was the episode where Space Ghost kept hitting Zorak with wrench?! He did it twice! After the second time Zorak went and hid in the ventilation. Space Ghost threatened to turn on the heating
