It looks beautiful, I had already made the decision to to pull the trigger on purchasing this, but like you said sold out. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer, but in the mean time I'll be looking forward to your full review.
Thanks for watching!
Well damn you guys got one quickly! Glad for you & also glad as I'm wanting a messer eventually and was hyped when Todd announced his but wanted to hear about it before buying one blind.
Very excited to see the review of this sword. Personal wishlist: seeing the detailed profile taper and distal taper of the blade. The weight of this one seems very reasonable. But the specific weight distribution can tell me a lot about the maker behind this line of sword. If they do well, I'll probably get either their arming sword (like a budget Albion Sovereign but with a nice scabbard) or their version of the Thorpe falchion. Those two are hefty, so I'm slightly worried. BTW, excellent cut with that birthday arming sword! Super clean with a nice background! Looking forward to the review of that sword, too! I always love the design of that pommel. Rarely represented in modern reproduction!
Thank you for watching sir. We can't wait to film the full review. We both have a lot to say about it.
And that Teutonic arming sword..... Woof... I don't want to give it away for free, but I can't WAIT to talk about that one. Definitely a sword worth considering for enthusiasts with a limited budget.
Props for the Wu Tang shirt.
As you clearly understand... Wu Tang is for the children.
Thanks for watching.
The swords, yes, are out sourced, but iirc the Tod Cutler daggers are still made by him, just less fancy.
Interesting, I thought I read that the daggers are out sourced also. Either way they are impressive quality for the price. I just got my first two Tod Cutler daggers and I'm very happy with them.
Thanks for watching!
Just got mine today! A very handsome blade I used to cut up a couple of milk cartons this afternoon. :)
That's awesome! Thanks for watching!
looking forward to the full Review! in the next couple days i will order one of his scabbards for my Albion! really excited! The Messer looks great! its the same price as my Landsknecht Emporium Messer🤔 but with import its about double the price😢...i am from Germany and i always find it amusing that everyone gets the pronunciation of this weapon wrong😅....it is : Grosses(Großes)Messer....dont forget the "s" at the end😅 ...
Really enjoy your videos since i've found your channel! i saw swords and a bald guy with Gondor tattoo and subscribed immediately😅😊
We Tolkien nerds have to stick together.
Thanks for watching. We've enjoyed your comments!
Looking forward to the review.
One of my first purchases was a Tod Cutler dagger, and the blade had a crazy warp in it. I like the look of his swords but I'm half expecting these to be garbage. The price point is no guarantee. Thank you for being a Guinea pig .
Sucks that your dagger had a warp in it. That's a legitimate reason to be cautious. At this price point the exceptions are pretty high. We'll see how it holds up in testing for our review. And we're always happy to play guinea pig and give you guys helpful info. Thanks for watching!
😍
I like the type XIV arming sword, but I want to see a review or two of swords from Tod's line so I know what to expect before dropping over $700 on a preorder.
That's definitely understandable. Our full review will be dropping soon. Thanks for watching!
how similar is it to the English Wakefield hanger?
Very solid looking sword. Honestly better be for almost $700 lol.
Agreed that's a steep price point with high expectations. So far I'm happy with it, we'll see how it holds up leading into our full review. Thanks for watching!
