Most of this cover was recorded in 2010, with some additional guitar tracks in 2013, 2020 and a re-recorded bass track in early 2023. The song 'Listen Up' first appeared as a B-side on Oasis' 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' single back in 1994.

I can vividly remember buying cigarettes and alcohol the day it came out and getting home and listening to it and absolutely falling in love with listen up. It’s been 30 years and I still have this song on repeat. It lives rent free in my head. My all time favourite song
Yeah I was 13 still remember thinking it sounded like live forever first few bars of the drums, better than live forever though, certainly better than cigs and alcohol which I never really loved, same thing happened with whatever, liked the tune but it was "good to be free" That really hit me, it's one thing kids today hearing these songs on CZcams but to actually go into town with a 5er and have enough for a, single, bus fair and a McDonald's milkshake!!! The buzz of waiting for it to drop then physically buying it having no clue what the besides were then instantly falling in love, that's why oasis were so special, there was a magic in the air in 94 that's, hard to describe, I had the posters the lot, live by the sea was my Bible, would literaly go round my mates in summer holidays just to watch it with nothing more than walkers and cans of coke and to us liam and Noel might as well of been from another planet, genuine stars and they had only been big for a year!! You couldn't message them on Twitter, they were completely separate from our lives and that made it more special , to see them you either went to the gigs or got the vhs tapes or a quick appearance on the word or white room made it more special, CZcams is, great but it's def diluted music 13 year olds of today will never understand how great 94_97 was

I remember buying Cigarettes & Alcohol on single back in 1994 and hearing the original for the first time. It's my favourite Oasis B-Side ever and just wanted to say this cover is pretty good too.
