he is absolutely correct that a back rest makes you feel much more in control... it allows you to control the bike with your hips and body in turns and making you feel less like you are riding, and more like you are "one with the bike"
have a O5 U.C. 90,000 miles. seat original, I can say it is broke down and broke out and broke up. glad you gave a review on the saddleman. they look like a nice well made product.
This SDC seat actually is a massive upgrade to the regular two up seat. It has the foam, and two layers of gel instead of one. First layer is the regular stiff gel that breaks in over time in all saddlemen seats, but the other gel piece is a softer gel that sits on top that gives the instant comfort and takes less time to break in. Carbon fiber material on the seating and gripper material on the backrest and pillion. You can also add gel to the passenger seat for $45. Going to be putting this on my street bob 114.
I love this seat and want it for my RGS but how’s the seat for a passenger?? My fiancé said the seat looked to small and for the price I don’t want to take a gamble on the seat! Any feed back?

I'll stay with the quad lock, since you mentioned it... nobody else rides my bike. Period. And that SDC? Oh yea, it's FANTASTIC.

So you're saying that the SDC seat with backrest is softer than the Saddlemen? I'm struggling to find the right seat for my soft tail standard
