As a joiner and my dad was it is always a pleasure to see these old tools those two brass backs tenant saws l have the same l do use them but not often l have all my dad’s old tools which I do still use every day 😊
Your knowledge of British tool arcana is encyclopedic and impressive... occasionally I run across British made hand tools in the States...I'll be keeping my eye out for these names. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely wonderful, second of your videos that I've watched so far. I just checked my plumb bobs upstairs and have a Monument one amongst them, I bought a Shetack lead knife only a couple of weeks ago. When I was a BR apprentice we had to make a clamp and the two mating surfaces had to be scrapped to 90%blue!
Fascinating Thanks
Thank you. Very interesting history.
Thank you - fascinating but I wish you had said more about the Stanley plane (NIH?)
I have a few of those machinist parallel clamps made by Lufkin.
I own an adjustable plane and some compasses
Very good.
