Scenic LOW Departure out of San Francisco - 4K Cockpit View

Passengers on the right hand side were in for a treat!
After kindly asking, ATC vectored us low along the coast and right over the Golden Gate bridge. We then continued to climb after passing Alcatraz.

Why is Vr significantly higher than V1?

Because the aircraft is quite heavy. After V1 there is not enough runway left to stop, but the plane stills needs a lot more speed to lift off.
