AI Future Series Student Experience, Teaching and Learning in the New Age.

Charles Sturt University’s AI and Cyber Futures Institute along with the sponsorship of DVC Research, DVC Academic and CIO produced an AI Futures Seminar on ‘Student Experience, Teaching and Learning in the New Age’. Provided here is a video of the event that not only pushed boundaries but also laid the foundation for a future where AI and cyber proficiency are integral to education.
The event featured guest experts Prof. Simeon Simoff who emphasised the importance of updating teaching methods and curriculums to meet the dynamic future needs of students, and Dr Mike Perkins who highlighted the need to adapt assessment processes with integrity and mindfulness towards the student experience. Beyond the academic discussions, the event showcased cutting-edge technologies, including a ‘deepfake’ of Prof. Evans, demonstrating the sophisticated tools shaping our academic landscape. Attendees also experienced a custom-built Metaverse, offering an immersive glimpse into the future of classrooms.
