  • I finally had the day off, so I went to check out the Greenberg's Train and Toy show. It has been a while since they have been out this way in the VA. area.
The largest and longest-running train and toy show in the northeast, Greenberg's has been running train shows since 1976. The shows feature thousands of trains and collectible toys for sale, hundreds of merchandising tables, huge operating layouts

That was a fun train show. It has gotten a lot smaller over the years. Thanks for sharing.

Great job on the video of the show. Ralph's Trains has been to the Greenberg Train Show in Edison NJ. The $3k Blue comet must the original. The $500 one probably a MTH reproduction

Open spaces besides club circle tracks can be used as runways.

You did not talk about the great products by Gilbert and Lionel American Flyer. The perfect size!

thanks to the mouleff (spelling?) brothers they bought cal expo fair grounds and raised the prices so high. no vendor could afford to do any show there, so many shows (not just train shows) have just gone poof in the wind... like the saying goes.
so now it is very hard to find let alone get to one in cal.
I for one can not afford to drive 300-400 miles (worse case three day's for one day at a show. two full days driving). just to go to one, or it is so small it's not worth it.
you who live on the east coast have it great as many shows, not so far from anything.

Why is Lionel and the other o-gauge stuff so expensive is it because they don't have much competition. You know it doesn't cost 4 or 5 hundred dollars to make an engine or $35.00 and up to make a plastic box car. Heck you can buy a great table saw for $500.00 Lionel makes good stuff but good grief what's up with the ridiculously high prices I wish they had more competition and maybe prices would go down so more people could enjoy the hobby.

You are very correct. I do G-scale you should see those prices. Thank you for watching.

Weaver and Pennsylvania used to make American-made locomotives and rolling stock and they would be cheaper than what Lionel or mph with charge for their stuff that is made in China. I am so sorry that he retired and did not have someone to take over the business. People in Pennsylvania don't work for $2 an hour. I hate that Williams was destroyed by Bachmann. I like nice simple reliable easy to service locomotives without all the bells and whistles and crap to get in the way.
