Ever since Angela Yee left, and definitely when they had Nimarata Haley on there & didn’t check her, is when I left the breakfast club alone and saw it as no longer a reliable place for us.
Angela Yee brought sense to the BC, but it has gone downhill since she left the show.
It's basically joe rogan for our community. Ever since Yee left, it's gone down the drain.

I was late to the party on th Breakfast Club and didn't start listening to it until I was well grown. I quickly saw it was mostly shock value entertainment, didn't like the way they always talked over Angela Yee, saw Charlemagne as the grifter he is and left it alone. Coming to it grown makes a difference.

Haven’t listened to TBC in years. They don’t treat their unambiguous black women guests with respect. So I take my time and energy where it’ll be respected. It’s not there.

I'm still wondering why are they still doing a show. It's not just a problem with Charlemagne bringing on that white man he does it with these so called black people with money.
I've been hearing a lot of black people going in front of white people saying things about black people like Denzel Washington where he keeps saying the problem with the black community is no father in the home and the mother is on drugs. I'm sick of hearing that crap. I know of family's with both parents in the home and their kids are worse than the ones Denzel Washington and others are talking about. My vote is it never has been. NYC is a special place, LA is, Texas, Louisiana, etc. Breakfast Club influences are the same as Hip hop influences, Rap influences, we've never been monolithic... the same, that's why having a voice (like Karen Hunter) is vitally important. Thank you for what you do, how you do it, every time you do the microphone and give intellectual to the narrative.

The Breakfast Club is first and foremost an entertainment show and should not be looked at as a serious platform to discuss politics and social issues. So while I understand the criticism of this show from a journalistic point of view, lets not act like this show is anything more than what it is. We also need to stop expecting every successful black talk show platform (be it radio, podcast, or TV talk show) to adhere to some high standard of journalistic decorum and seriousness. To do so, comes off a bit bougie. What I would like to see is guests who have appeared on The Breakfast Club who Prof Hunter feel were not taken to task or asked the hard journalistic questions over the things that they have said, come onto this show and get asked the hard questions and get push back from the things that they have said.
