    Sir we can also find values of of a and b by equating real 😊 and imaginary part of complez no.😮 In polynomial 2 by substituing value of i√3🤔 then it becomes easy 😎❤

    Q. The equation (x ^ 2 + x + 1) ^ 2 + 1 = (x ^ 2 + x + 1)(x ^ 2 - x - 5) for x \in (- 2, 3) will have number of solutions,
    (1) 1. (2) 2. (3) 3. (4)Zero.

      Answer - (4) Zero
      Sol:- simplify given equation. It will become x³+4x²+4x+3, let it be f(x). Then find f(-3), f(-2), f(-1), f(0) to have an idea about it's graph. Then find f'(x) and find critical points. Plot the graph of f(x)

    Sir I we put (i.sqrt(3)) in second equation as it satifies it so we will get -9a+i.sqrt(3)(2b-12)=0
    so real part =0 and imaginary part=0 so a=0 and b=6

    Sir I have just observed that 2nd equation given in question just differentiation of 1st equation given
    So there might be sone diff approach present

    x⁴+ 0x³+ 6x²+ 0x - 16 =0
    If the four roots of this equation are p,q,r,s
    Why can't we solve this using theory of equations ?
    Sum of roots--
    p+q+r+s = -b/a = 0
    Sum of product of roots taken 2 at a time = c/a = 6
    (p+q+r+s)² = p²+q²+r²+s² +2(prod. of roots 2 at a time)
    0= p²+q²+r²+s² +2(6)
    p²+q²+r²+s² = -12
    Please someone help me with this I am not able to figure the mistake out
    EDIT--
    ok i got it, its because the roots p,q,r,s are complex here mod for complex numbers is not same as that of real numbers...
    Thats why p²+q²+r²+s² is different from what is asked in the question. Beacuse mod in complex nos would be a positive real no. and its square would be positive.. and p² can be -ve as it is complex

      How did u expand (a+b+c+d)^2=a^2 + b^2 + c^2 + d^2 +2(product of roots) there are many mathematics laws broken here

      (a+b+c)²= a²+ b² +c² +2(ab+bc+ca)
      This identity is valid for 4 terms, 5,6...
      The "format" remaining same i.e sum of squares of individual numbers + 2times product of them taken two at a time

    How could x² = -8 ??
    I have factorised in a different way,, talking x² common and sending 16 on another side,,,,in this way I got x = 4,-4,√10,-√10
    And hence got the answer 52..

    In this question,it is not mentioned that x is real,so that condition (x²= -8) is valid. And we will get imaginary root.

    x={i√3, -i√3, 0, √3, -√3} seems like this equation is lies between imaginary and real world
    3 imaginary root also 3 real root
