  • Most of my art supplies are now packed away and I spotted my lino cutting tools and felt the urge to create a stamp! I have also been sorting through all my old and new photos on my phone (storage issues *sigh*) and organised lots of reference photos into folders, this particular cow very much took my fancy!
Materials: Essdee lino cutting tools and roller, soft lino

"For the subject I thought I would do a cow, I have some reference photos from when I visited my mom" 😎 absolute savage insult.

Well done Lucy, I love your cheeky cow! Just hope you didn't hurt yourself to much while carving.

I absolutely love lino printing, but I find it incredibly difficult to work out which bits need to be black or white. I want to do a monorail train on a track with apartment blocks behind and it's so hard. I'm going to be working it out for 6 months before I even start cutting. Yours looks absolutely amazing.

Thank you! Yes I know exactly what you mean. I think my choice of a cow was an easy solve for that dilemma. However I find drawing it out with a thick black pen helps, to denote where you need to cut ☺️

I'm really curious I see so many of these tutorials lately may I ask.. can you do anything with these in a business sense? Do people make money doing this or is just for personal art? Thanks

Oh absolutely! At my markets where I see my artwork, there is a gentleman that solely sells his Lino cut prints and he makes a lot of money from them! A massive market for them ☺️
