Information:"Anna Lovinda" is one of Erik Bye's most famous songs. Inspiration for the song was Bye from a tombstone in the cemetery in Westport, according to "Norwegian visebok", a small fishing village on the New England coast. It said (according to the intro to the Byes own recording of the song): "Here lies Anna Lovinda, died 12 april 1872, 20 years old. She was the widow of Captain Ebenezer Hunt, who went down with his ship in the same year, 25 years old. " Erik Bye was besides being a writer and poet show, also broadcast man, and was for many years in close cooperation with the ALF and Otto Nielsen. The song about "Anna Lovinda" was written in 1960. Helge Lund Borg has also sung this on out of obscurity kap.14 - Hudba

Thanks to Bjorn Sagge for explaining this song. Sissel’s voice is so beautiful, as always! But I must comment on the two gentlemen who also have very nice voices. They sound like men should sound- unlike most popular American males (J Bieber, e.g.) who sound like little girls.

Apparently Anna Lovinda died of a broken heart, and as you said, she was only 20. That's why Erik Bye was compelled to write the song...

Björn vet jag inte vem han är innan Anna Lovinda. Han är kanonbra. Sissel og Åge behöver inte nämnas på annat sätt än att fastslå att dom är i en klass för sig, gång på gång. Påminns om när Odd Nordstuga och Sissel gör en låt i skavlan. Därmed blir odd, för mig, också i en klass för sig ihop med Sissel och Åge
