after coming to my camp, I saw a large amount of water in the dugout, this building was flooded by about 40 cm, this is probably the wettest spring I have ever seen, well, anyway, let's try to restore the camp after such a gift from mother nature)

En cuanto a la inundación, es primavera y ese suelo arenoso es muy dificil de drenar. Tendrías que impermeabilizar todo el fondo de la cabaña con plástico u otro material hasta el nivel del suelo.
O bien esperar que llegue el tiempo seco.
Aquí, en España, tenemos una sequía histórica, cosechas perdidas, un desastre.
Los cangrejos habran sido un consuelo 😉
jaja, probablemente toda el agua de España fue para nosotros, porque todos los ríos se desbordaron, ya ves, incluso la piragua se inundó))

М-да... Восени і взимку у деяких місцях люди боялись падіння рівня води у водоймах , щоб не зникло водопостачання, а тут навесні якось природа занадто компенсувала попередній занадто низький рівень ))

Definitely get an A grade for patience and hard work👍 But i have always been very skeptical of building a dugout cabin for this reason. It's very prone to flooding. More so than if you had built a cabin on top of the ground. Very interesting video. I Wish you good luck!!

@Joy . believe they are easier to keep warm. The ground is a great insulator from the cold and when you have a fire inside it, the ground will also heat up and radiant heat as it cools slowly. If you build one, its probably best to built them cut into a slope or above the water table, if you know area pretty well.

I think nature was trying to add a toilet. You should try another dugout, but go higher up on a hill so you can slope downward slightly to direct water out. You could probably create a makeshift drain pipe by ripping a log in half and whittling away the center a bit. Then you fix the two half logs together to make a pipe. Then just bury the pipe up to the point where water accumulates in the shelter. Have the log pipe slope downward to an opening below the shelter. You will always have drainage. Tough to do if you are digging below ground.

Bless your heart! Look at the bright side, you now have a spring house! Dig out the hole a little larger. Dig a trench for the water to flow and channel the water out. Keep your canned goods and food inside near the cold fresh water. That’s how they did it in the olden days. Plus you have fresh water source! That’ll be nice in the hot summer. Then build another dug out to sleep in. When life gives you a lemon, make lemonade! 🍋👍🏼

Что бы избежать потоп в будущем нужно в метрах 2-3 от землянки выкопать яму и уровень ямы должен быть ниже чем у землянки минимум на метр тогда вода по пути наименьшего сопротивления наберется в яме , конечно сверху надо закрыть что бы никто не упал туда ни люди или животные . Решать тебе это так совет !

Здравия тебе, Алексей-Шева! Грустно, что залило землянку! У нас был погреб. Каждую весну его затопляло. Откачивание воды было бесполезным. Вода так и стояла на уровне, пока не шел спад воды , и она сама уходила. Надо строить землянку на сухом месте. Здесь заведется плесень. Успехов тебе и мира!

Hola amigo,ANIMO..puede parecer desafortunado pero no lo es,covierte esta situacion en algo positivo, ...un pozo no viene nada mal,tendtas agua limpia para cocinar y beber, ademas que seras el unico en las redes con un pozo en un cabanita,el desagüe dudo que funcione porque siempre tendras humedad dentro,..pero tendria que hacer otra cabaña o desmontar esta a otro lugar mas seco,lamentablemente cuando se cava en el suelo,puede pasar esto,por eso soy mas partidaria de cabañitas por en cima del nivel del suelo,para evitar posibles contratiempos como este,de igual forma no te desanimes,siempre hay una solución,me encanto tu silla reclinada y que bueno que a pesar de todo recobraste tu sonrisa,sigue adelante y piensa en los muchos capitulos que nos regalaras en este canal. y muchos estamos encantados de ver sus aventuras.

Hai intercettato una falda, se scavi a monte adesso che è piena la trovi e la puoi deviare, e con una pompa a mano avere l'acqua potabile direttamente di fianco al rifugio o puoi fare una fontana con vasca più in basso, bastano pochi tubi in pvc.🙂

Проблема всех землянок, топит весной. С первой тоже так было, вторую строили на крутом бугре с ней проблем не было, хотя весной вода тоже заливалась, но быстро уходила по рельефу.
Это же программа "водопровод в каждый дом.
Its hard work but we try to make it work for us some how you could aways use it for a well house and buld you a cabin but alot of work to do this and as usual summer when There is no rain it will dry up .I hope the best for you Thank you for taking us along with you ❤️

It looks like the whole camp is in a low swampy area anyway by the ground. I would guess that this will be mosquito central in the area also. Just enough low cover so the wind doesn't bother them. Best wishes , hope I am wrong and you have an awesome place to visit for as long as you like.
