Calgary was very smoggy and smelly with wildfire smoke, but Kananaskis was exceptionally clear.
I was worried about the slab after the COL, but most of it was avoidable and I only had to go directly over a 4-5 meter slab. However if you are careful to avoid the small loose gravel on that slab, good tractions can be found.
