Text ‘Whodunnit’ to 94200 to see the knives come out.
Acclaimed writer and director Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper, The Last Jedi) pays tribute to mystery mastermind Agatha Christie in KNIVES OUT, a fun, modern-day murder mystery where everyone is a suspect. When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan’s dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death. With an all-star ensemble cast including Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford and Jaeden Martell, KNIVES OUT is a witty and stylish whodunit guaranteed to keep audiences guessing until the very end. - Krátké a kreslené filmy

I met Christopher Plummer in a restaurant in Stratford Canada. I am not a person who cares about celebrities but he starred in one of my Dad's favorite movies so I "had" to do it. Mr. Plummer did not seem happy that I approached him (I can't blame him) but he warmed significantly after I told him my Dad was from Hungary and escaped during the Hungarian revolution and therefore loved the Sound of Music. Mr. Plummer was so kind and signed his King Lear program in Hungarian to my Dad. The night Christopher Plummer won the Oscar, my Dad called me crying. Apparently the message wrote by this great actor really meant a lot ot him.
Hands down one of the best murder investigation movies of all time. The whole movie was made like a symphony, so much chaos but with done with an elegant order. You think you've figured it out and all the events lead to one truth, but as the movie nears its ending everything you thought was the truth becomes the lie, and that there's a far more greater hidden truth! Just like a symphony.
Never thought I’d see Chris Evans and Daniel Craig on screen together, but here I am screaming with joy

Poor Jaeden isn't getting any credit for this, kid's got talent
I saw the film at the Toronto Film Festival and Jaeden's role is very small in the film. He only has just a handful of moments where he's even talking so that's probably why they aren't giving him a lot of credit. Most of the time he's just in the background of the ensemble scenes not saying anything. He did get a character poster though. I agree with you, I think he is a terrific actor, along with Noah Jupe, another really great kid actor.
Well, they couldn't find a more A-list teenager. I guess Finn Wolfhard didn't look preppy enough.

As one of the few people that didn't overreact about Last Jedi (I thought it was good, but still felt the Original Trilogy pre-unecessary George Lucas edits and Rogue One were better), I was really excited to see this movie! I saw it on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, got it on 4K on Tuesday, and wow, it just gets better every time i see it! The A-List cast works very well together, the story gets interesting by getting more complex without adding too much info we never saw, the humor is great, but doesn't downplay the emotional core of the movie, and there are so many new details to find upon repeated viewings. It's now one of my Top 6 favorite movies.
For anyone screaming "Rian Johnson is a terrible filmmaker!" just because of Last Jedi, I encourage you to watch this movie. His style is great, but it just didn't fit with Star Wars. Not only is Knives Out a refreshingly original movie that is good, this trailer is a breath of fresh air too. Because it gives us no information crucial to knowing the plot or story. It does not tell us who the victim is, nor motive, and neither does it reveal much about any of the characters to reveal anything. But at the same time it draws you in with enough information to make seeing the movie worthwhile. It avoids the sin so many movie trailers have committed in recent years, that is to reveal essentially the entire plot of the movie.

This movie, that I love to re-watch, is one of the best movies ever. And that list is not long. Everytime I watch it again I catch something I did not see before.
The story. The acting. The supporting cast. The setting. All of that put together to make one really great movie. Plus the cinematography. I don't follow the Academy Awards, but this movie deserves Best Picture if it didn't get that.
It should have.
