    Thanks man! Super helpful. Last minute decision one day to go snowboarding the next day, for the first time in 10 years. Watched this video the night before. Golden. Got to the top of the hill, focused on linking turns like you say and after two it was just like riding a bike. Spent all day on fun blues.

    Nice Vid! And good explanation. But for going straight on flats isn't that also something for Intermediate? its something i really struggled and saw enough flat area when going down blue.

    I started off going wayyy too fast, that i was surprised i kept my balance lol. My only brakes were going for massive rollie pollie rolls after i've made it.

    Do you have any tip on how to actually keep the board pointing downhill? I have a problem that after a turn board goes completely horizontal especially on the heel edge - even when I’m counting- it’s a very short but completed turn :(

    • @kiratornator
      @kiratornator Před 8 měsíci +3

      Ok so I was having a similar problem. Here is the solution you should only change edges when you are moving in the same direction your board is pointing. You don’t want to I initiate your turn while skidding sideways, if you do this you will have to point straight down hill before switching edges casing your turn to take a long time and leading to you losing control. Also if you switch edge earlier you can make quicker or longer turns depending on how much pressure you apply

    Clew bindings top. But I'm more looking forward to seeing some brand create timeless snowboard boots. Which do not lose their rigidity for ten years. I can't buy new boots every year, plus it destroys the earth and runs out of resources.

    • @SnowboardProCamp
      @SnowboardProCamp  Před 10 měsíci

      Boots definitely wear out the quickest. Not sure which ones last the longest.

    • @jacobiwolf77
      @jacobiwolf77 Před 10 měsíci

      If you're buying boots once a year you're doing wrong, you should get 300-500 days on a pair of boots depending on if you go for softer or stiffer boots. Stiffer boots last longer but not so suitable if you ride park a lot

      @@TheRealBruceLouis only IF they actually know the correct teaching progression of the skill set. I was riding a board for about 25 years before I started teaching with the local disabled sports program and trust me, knowing how to teach riding vs knowing how to ride and thinking you can teach riding are two very different realities. Many relationships end because some knows how to ride but not how to teach

    I have anxiety that you're about to catch a heel side edge. If beginners do that a lot then they will be having some painful whiplash crashes. I teach you need to go straighter down the mountain and put in more aggressive stops and avoid sliding like that.

    • @jacobiwolf77
      @jacobiwolf77 Před 10 měsíci +2

      That would be because you don't know the progressive steps of snowboard instruction and will leave your "student" with a very stunted skill set for manipulating the board. If you're wondering what my credentials are, I taught disabled people to snowboard for 9 years with the National Sports Center for the Disabled

    You’re clearly not a certified professional instructor. Although most of the things that you said are true, you are not using the correct terminology or the correct order. You’re also talking about the beginner to Novice zone. Nothing in this video has anything to do with intermediate levels.
