"Iqbal's Khudi" is Allama Muhammad Iqbal's concept of selfhood, emphasizing self-discovery, realization, and actualization. It represents an individual's inner essence, potential, and ability to overcome limitations. Iqbal believed nurturing one's khudi could lead to greatness, positive contribution, and fulfillment in life, urging self-awareness, confidence, and determination for realizing full potential.
And The Ubermensch, introduced by Nietzsche, is an idealized individual who transcends conventional morality and societal norms to create their own values and live authentically, embodying qualities like independence, creativity, and strength of will.

In my opinion, Iqbal did struggle with the theological foundation of God in Islam. Therefore, he invented the word "khudi" and elegantly used his linguistic/religious metaphors and symbols to explain the concept of khudi (super human being). It seems like that Iqbal was much influenced by Nietzsche.

seems to me you are not influenced by iqbal and neitzche both, oherwise you cant have said it.first get influenced by neitzche then tell me what iqbal writing is influenced.

He refuted that in a letter he wrote. Nietzche wasn't part of the curriculum when he was studying and he only read him after he made his philosophy.

From the comments section I came to know that most of people said that he interpreted Neitzche wrongly. It seems that our nation don't even read Iqbal.
That's why we are behind. We don't respect our heroes.
A wise mind always admire the wisdom even it accept it or reject.

I've just read neitzche history, his idea of life is completely dependent on the only power of man. On the other hand iqbal's khudi is related with morals, principles and Islamic principles.

why we listen others to tell us who is Iqbal and neitzche; its better to study them by ourselves. All are doing different interpretation. Even there is only one Quran and a lot of different interpretation. Its better tostudy by ourselves and develop our own thoughts.

First of all Qaisar Ahmad Raja correct yourself Neitzche philosophy is not based on nihilism.Instead it is against Nihilism .Read his notes will to power where in first section he repeatedly says those who are weak conceptualize the world and even themselves meaningless. He says nihilism is not cause but result of decadence(weakness).

the things you said about Nietzsche can also said about islam. Quran ki interpretations log apny hisaab sy kr k terrorism ko justify krty hn. 🤣🤣 yh konsa argument hy k alt-right uski philosophy ka istemal krty, it even proves Nietzsche's point. lol
