I have two regular bikes and one ebikes I love to ride and it’s just because I have the time, I have reached an age that I find time to maintain my good health. I live in Clayton county Georgia I have to pick a time of day to ride my bike because of how dangerous the road traffic is, Georgia roads are not made for bike riders it’s just to dangerous when you know their are people out there who lack patients for bike riders and are Goverment just doesn’t care 🤷♂️ about are health. Just look around at all of the over weight people in Georgia wishing they could ride a bike 🚴 to work, for their health or just for fun. The human stress levels are through the roof I am surprised 😲 that we don’t see more heart attacks and strokes.
The stats were ALWAYS there. I heard about the South in the late 70s and early 80s as a teenager living in NJ and Ohio. My Dad was from Georgia, so I visited every Xmas and most summers. Moved to Atlanta in 1990. Loved the Beltline trail. I like how it has transformed the Westside neighborhoods. Maybe Gentrification, but black people got those neighborhoods in nice condition 50-60 years ago and they have been ghettos for 40+ years. Morningside, Midtown, Candler Park are the same age but, they are STILL well-kept, why is THAT??
@@mucho1966 Ridiculous comment. Those westside neighborhoods are historically black (and some are very wealthy and well kept) and Midtown and surroundings were the ghetto pre-90s.
I don't know what that clunking is but I think your pedal stroke needs to be a lot smother. You don't do a complete rotation so the freewheel clunks a lot. Just stay in a rhythm and hold a speed.
@@ShenardL Eastside Beltline ends at Kroger Shopping Center in Glenwood Park past Memorial Dr and cross over I-20 temporary end at Glenwood Avenue. It will be a year before it cuts through Ormewood Park, Grant Park and Peoplestown to connect at University Avenue and Pryor Rd in South Atlanta. The Westside Beltline starts at University Avenue and Pryor Rd cuts under 75/85 Downtown Connector through Pittsburg Yards which just opened this month.

Where did you turn around?

Awesome thanks for the tip 🤗

Cool belt line when gonna cycle in downtown?
The belt line is awesome. Gotta hit downtown sometime soon
It’s gonna cicle all over the city of Atlanta not just downtown
So much fun, we just did a ride on the eastside with our dog in a bike trailer! Check it out here: czcams.com/video/GYlHzIE8DEQ/video.html
Does Beltline ends at Krog bridge?
No, but each part is building up. Eventually it will all connect together to encircle 30 miles around the city.

@@mucho1966it’s a year later and I can confirm that it continues on but I haven’t seen a path to Grant Park. I’d love that.
Glorified sidewalk that is pretty useless for serious cyclists- non-stop pedestrian dodging.
