The Echo is a good Bluetooth speaker as well as a really cool hands free way to talk to the internet, set timers, convert measurements etc. We use this everyday, more so than we use siri actually, and it's voice recognition is nearly perfect. It's a great kitchen tool, so when your hands are a mess preparing food and you don't want to dig in your pocket for your phone you can just say, Alexa, set a timer for 10 minutes, or whatever other question might be on your mind. Anyone in the house can use it too, even young kids, it helps them cheat on their homework without them having to take our phones. It sounds good, if you turn it up very loud on a song with a lot of bass there is some distortion. But anything below 3/4 volume is very clear and sounds much bigger than it is. Alexa is only passive... I wish it would be more active. It only answers questions or do the commands you give. I wish it would come more forward with it.
I didn't know she did that, the first nature sounds for sleep she played for me sounded like being in the middle of a jungle and was actually a little unnerving, the second one though was peaceful and lovely. Thanks for the idea.

Luis Reynoso Yes, you can set alarms to go off based on time of day, or you can just say, set a timer for 30 minutes. At any point you can ask, how much time is left on the timer, and she will tell you, and yes the alarm makes a pleasant chime. We use the alarms and timers daily.
Yes, I would be happy to do that for you. I will let you know when the video is ready, I will also ask Alexa some of the questions that have been posted in the comments. Alexa is surprisingly good at hearing at distance, if the volume is low sometimes I can't hear the response well, but she heard me clearly. Thanks for posting your comment.
