I sold mine five or six years ago and I still missed that amp. Probably the best fender I’ve had.
Nice video. FYI - The original Vibroverb 63 was the first fender amp with Reverb, not Tremolo. I also think the Bassman RI from this same era was a great RI. That was actually the first RI, followed by the VVRI shortly after.
Saw srv during New Orleans mardi gras 1984 and he had a bunch of vintage fender amps; you sounded just like his tone👍👌🎸; I remember gawking at all of srvs vintage gear on the small stage.☮️
Very kind thank you.
Spot on man- i wish i had the gear like that, luckily my 50 year old strat sounds good no matter the amp
Many thanks

Bro, okay here's what's apparent. You own or have some amazing old and awesome gear. You're obviously a super talented player, that's crystal clear. What sucks is this. The audio portion of this video is terrible. As a 50 plus year player, I'd love to hear what this setup sounds like. With your current audio setup, it's impossible to hear anything other than low quality and terrible audio. I'm not dissing you, I'm saying it's a dang shame with your talent and that gorgeous gear we don't get to hear it more clearly. I know recording gear is expensive, so I totally get it. Thanks for trying. My guess is you could easily grow the channel if you upped your audio quality. Cheers from Chicago my friend. Remember I'm not being rude or mean, just sharing some obsevations from my end.
Thank you for your message, I really do appreciate your honesty.
I have some recording gear that I will upgrade and try and get better audio in the future.
Thanks again.
@@floydsvintageguitargear4721 thanks
Which pedals get that texas clean SRV tones to sound very texas?
I pushed the amp enough to get good dynamics happening and then use a Ibanez TS10 when needed.
TS10 setting are drive 1, tone 4, volume 7.
Cheers
@@floydsvintageguitargear4721 I meant what pedals to use besides using a Tube Screamer and a cranked up amp to get that SRV tones to get those texas blues tones?
@@waynegram8907 that's it. Fingers. Maybe Stevie used two Screamers.
@@waynegram8907a cranked brown face VV crunches Hard like a Marshall, no pedals needed unless maybe a ts. Tone of the gods etc.
