The reservations are provided to overcome the differences in societies.
The Muslim and Chritian convert the Hindus saying that all are treated equal in their regions . So the reservations are not applicable as per Ambedkarji.

Yes, as H Rajaji says, parcies never asked or agitated for any reservations or special concessions as minorities. Over & above they built large industries in India, adopting India as their own and working for the peace & prisperity of the country. In all the industries developped by their hard work & money they have provided job opportunities for large number of people of majority & other religious
Communities. Ex: godrej, Tatas, etc. Minority should intermingle with the culture of the country,love the country do their best for the peace, progress & prosperity of the country.

One important reason why reservation should not be on the basis of religion is, it will promote religious conversion just to enjoy the reservation.
Moreover, the reservation was introduced to bring up the communities which were socially suppressed by other communities. Who suppressed Muslims in India? Historically, moghuls suppressed Indians by ruling this country.
Congress is taking up some of these dangerous topics to get votes. It will just take India back to the pre-independence era.
I still don't understand how Congress is called a secular party when it is only dividing the Indians on the basis of religions.
In my opinion, there must be a major change in the reservation policy. Provide reservation in education only to those whose parents are not educated.
Provide job reservation to only those whose parents and grandparents were not in government jobs. This is the only way to reduce the leakage and provide support to those who really require it. Slowly, reduce the percentage and bring everyone to the mainstream.
Provide financial support for students who are under the poverty line. Don't encourage people to score less, by providing this kind of reservation forever. 3 to 4 generations have enjoyed it. It cannot go on forever and particularly to the same families again and again.
