I must describe the first time that I ever saw this man to you. I was Nelson Ledges Rock Quarry in Ohio. (an amazing venue for a music festival) God only knows how much alcohol I had consumed, someone had just dropped acid on my tongue, and as I saw him come on stage not knowing what to expect he started playing and I swear I melted in the spot I was standing in. It was like whatever was going on in that moment around me completely stopped and it was just me and a man with a big bucket on his head shredding a guitar hovering around me. At that moment in 2006 I fell in love with everything about this guy. Thanks for reading.
Sadistic that if youre great, you can never just be great, people have to bring up the competition right at the top. You could be better than 9999 out of 10,000 people, but then the average person will call you "second best"! What a world we live in. Buckethead: Amazing, and a great left hand. His phrasing is very linear, and the bass line almost ridiculously simple for the pentatonic and straight minor scales, no mad modality jumps like Tosin Abasi, stays in the sort of shapes hes made all his life Im sure, But the picking and hand co-ordination is so sharp, and he knows what to do with the hung note at the end of a phrase. Legend. And dont you just love that he affects the 'weirdo' image, Respect!
Its more his brilliant phrasing and tone and the direction he takes the line. Life is linear however much you try to live in the moment. The execution is of course PAR-EXCELLENCE. Sure Tosin is a monster, but do you feel him any more than BC?
Buckethead is one of the best guitar players I have ever seen. This guy has made over 80 studio albums alone! I don't think this guy is ever going to run out of creativity any time soon. His work is just so awesome!

Everytime I see Buckethead I can't stop thinking that he overcame his "social awkwardness" by embracing all of his weirdness; Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I experience it.
Some of the most ignorant comments a person can make are "This music has no soul" or "This is easy to make" or whatever. If you think a song has no soul, it's because you personally have no feelings towards the music. There's no such thing as objective "soul" to music, it's just what emotions you personally feel towards it. You don't feel anything because of this song? Sucks to be you. As for trying to criticize the difficulty of making a song; if it's so easy, why haven't you written any songs? You don't have the credibility to judge the difficulty of an action you can't even come close to emulating.
People must judge Buckethead from the Jordan riff. They heard it on Guitar Hero and that's what they're basing their opinion on. Anyone tell me from 5:00 onwards there's no soul. If there's no soul there, then by that logic no guitarist has soul, it's just scales.
Filipe Amaral I find Brians music to be very "soul" full. Sad for other fools. Scales are just patterns, but they way an artist interprets them is the key.
DrDizzleFrizzle Exactly...kids on the internet are retarded or they just try really hard to be a special snowflake. If you go to a Mamlsteen video and check the comments you gonna see alot of people bitching about how soulless is.If you go to a Buckethead video it's gonna be people bitching about how easy is.

E o próprio Deus desceu em forma de Buckethead pra tocar, pq o sentimento que esse cara coloca na música é fora do comum
He's quite the mystery! Just like this song!
Not only is he an awesome guitar player , he's blessed with the looks to , so unfair .
DrDizzleFrizzle You rock...great comment!
Filipe Amaral I find Brians music to be very "soul" full. Sad for other fools. Scales are just patterns, but they way an artist interprets them is the key.
DrDizzleFrizzle Exactly...kids on the internet are retarded or they just try really hard to be a special snowflake. If you go to a Mamlsteen video and check the comments you gonna see alot of people bitching about how soulless is.If you go to a Buckethead video it's gonna be people bitching about how easy is.
whaat? I felt the soul the whole time... very soulfull, not mindless shredding, soulfull shredding!
People split into 2 groups. One agrees that Buckethead is the greatest underappreciated guitar talent world has ever seen, and second is just wrong.
He is such an incredible guitar player !!! Love his music

Who needs lyrics when you got killer guitar.
