    Your my go to guy for this machine. Thank you so much for your videos they have saved me a fortune. If possible could you please do a video for the a5e needle bar change as the one I bought has the wrong needle bar in it and the people I purchased from are absolutely no help at all. 😀

      Hi, you are most welcome.
      What makes you think the A5E needle bar is incorrect?

      @@twisteddolldesigns6190 they take a DBx1 needle that has a 1.6mm top.
      Firstly I would suggest cleaning/clearing the needle hole using an old DBx1 needle.
      Loosen needle screw enough so you can fully insert the needle, maximum needle insertion can be checked through the hole in the side of your needle bar, then using a pair of long nose pliers gripping the needle repetitively insert and remove the needle, essential clearing or reaming the needle passage way, hopefully if all goes well, this will slowly become easier as it clears.
      Secondly always use a top quality needle like Groz Beckert, Schmetz (now Groz Beckert), or organ, cheaper needles are not manufactured to the best standards and may cause issues because of this.
      On a side note, if you want to use heavier threads, order system 71x1 needles, these go to a #160 size, and fit perfectly to your machine.
      Good luck.

      @@ozcommercialsewingmachines thank you so much for the ideas, I've done all that you have recommended and i only use the brands organ and the schmetz needles aswell, still have to use the pliers to get the needle in, the size of the actual hole for the needle to go into is extremely small?? I'm so confused with it lol.

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  Před 2 lety +1

      @@twisteddolldesigns6190, it sounds like the needle bar hole has an irregularity inside, very unusual, but of course it is possible, I would say it is around the area where the needle clamp screw goes in, the hole is very small, only 1.6mm, I believe it will free up over time.

    Thank yo so much for your videos, I have had my Jack F4 for a year now and there isn't anything in English out with this information. I love my machine but have questions...I think my pressure foot tension is to high as when i sew on quilting cotton it leaves dog feed marks on the fabric. Thank you thank you thank you!! Would love to see the Jack walking foot in action too!!

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  Před 11 měsíci

      You would need to experiment with different pressures as different thicknesses of fabric will have different pressure requirements.

    Mine doesn’t have any numbers on so, what is the height from base if machine to top of the screw.

    • @ozcommercialsewingmachines
      @ozcommercialsewingmachines  Před 11 měsíci

      You will need to determine what pressure you need based on the fabric you are sewing. Different fabrics and different thickness will all require different pressure so you will be adjusting to suit as you go.

    There are only 2 things i dont like about the Jack machine. This foot adjuster feature is plastic and so is the manual foot lifter. Since the rest of the machine is so robust, I'm puzzled why they choose plastic.

      You may have to adjust your feed dogs as they are what feeds the fabric. You may need to take your machine for service.

    With the presser foot you adjust the pressure, there is no tension on the presser foot.
