I was in China for the first time in 2014. You have been with me ever since. Nobody can make jokes about the western as well as Chinese culture in a respectful way like you. And you can laugh about yourselves. I wish you continue.
I still think their reverse culture shock video is one of the funniest videos I’ve ever seen. Their videos were always so relatable for expats living in China, and there really isn’t anything else like them out there. It’ll be a shame If they really do stop.

I don't know why, but this hit me really hard.
Since moving away from Shanghai 3 years ago, I felt as though watching your videos really helped me to keep China close to my heart, rather than fully leaving a part of myself behind.
I had left so many experiences, friends and family back there and went through quite a bit of culture shock while re-patriating back into the UK, so those uploads had really helped keep me sane.
I guess the old videos will still be there, which I'm thankful for, but I still feel as though everything is about to just disappear. I really don't want you guys to disband... Even if it is on a high note.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything you guys have done and will try to accept your short film as the conclusion of this channel, but I am still absolutely heartbroken.
I doubt this is the case, but if you just need better funding in order to keep doing this, like more patreon subs... I would be more than happy to chip in in order to help keep the fire going.

I went to China 4 years ago, didn't go back since then but I enjoyed so much watching your videos, your sketches, your humor in all senses. It is so particular, so special. Such a good quality of production too.

Y’all do whatever you need to, thanks for years and years of amazing content. Your channel has been my go-to since my first trip to the mainland back in 2014. It’s the one I share with my 老外 friends who study Chinese as well as my 国内 pals who need a laugh.
Your huge cast, hilarious bits, relatable situations, and surprisingly touching short films have made this channel incredible. I have been in Shanghai since early 2019 but I discovered your channel just a few weeks before my arrival. It greatly helped me for this new phase of my life and I deeply thank you all, you have entertained me, comforted me and touched me. My only regret is that I live in Songjiang (yes, a source of comedy for many of my downtown friends!) so I have yet to bump into any of your troupe on one of my occasional trips so I can say it directly. You are all great!

Brought some tears to my eyes. I know that Shanghai has changed and life in China and having left. 2.5 years ago was the right move, but seeing your faces and the jokes always had me looking at it in a positive light. You will all do well and I wish you nothing but the best. Times have changed and you have grown and will continue to do great things but it's sad to have one more spark leave with Mamahuhu for China.

I feel this feel so much, this video is exactly where I'm at right now as well. Just bought my plane ticket to fly out from Shanghai before my current visa expires. It's such a strange thing.
Will miss your channel a lot, there was always something to laugh at and relate to, as well as something interesting and different to learn since the part of China where I've been living is quite different from Shanghai. "The Laowai Baoan" will probably always be one of the purest videos made by Westerners speaking Chinese to ever be on the internet.

As a foreign born Chinese your vids made me feel like there's still a bridge branching the polarising world and cultures of China and the western nations. They're so heart warming... It reminds me of the volume of quality people involved over the years. So much diversity along with cross culture humour made this Channel unique imo. I hope that the people producing the content had as much enjoyment making it as we did viewing it, then it would be well worth while. I'm guessing we will now return to the usual regularly scheduled programs like food reviews from Yuyuan Garden. Take care and don't worry about us, I mean, who really needs wrists anyways? I was preparing for my first ever trip to Shanghai and searching through YT videos that I chanced upon this channel. After watching most of your videos when I finally arrived in Shanghai it felt as if I had come to a place that I knew well! Even after I returned home after Shanghai trip, everytime I watch your videos it reminds me of wonderful time I had in Shanghai. Hope you will be back soon, take care.
i binged watch ever single one of your videos. I had multiple breakdowns along the way - some on wanting to move to china ASAP. Others - on thinking how lonely and scary the future would be after a few years of odd jobs. Needless to say, I'm still in Europe, still wanting to go to asia, still not loving the police.

Having lived in China for most of my years since 2004 I found, from the beginning, so many of your videos relatable (is that a good thing?) and every time you become silent only to return with a new format and structure I was joyously impressed.
Of all you have produced, "Stare" would have to be my absolute favourite in so many ways.

We all have to move forward I guess (I'm well past my time as a resident in China) and we'll probably see your familiar faces popping up in new locations producing only better content.
In 2004 "Mamahuhu" was one of my first practiced and well used Chinese words that continued past it's time of being fashionable. By 2017 people thought me weird for using it.
Who knew that Chinese words in common vocabulary would so deeply fade in style and usage.
Anyways, looking forward to your coming skit.. and (hopefully) live-stream.

Where will your journey go from here? You've been creating both entertaining and educational content for so long, it's hard to see it end. Surely there has to be a new exciting path we can also follow?

It's sad the current government/emperor don't appreciate political jokes. Previous guys are more open minded. We Chinese know much about polit leaders all over the world and the power struggles but we are never exposed to what's really happening in the current regime. I mean what's the big deal people have parody for presidents all the time although I not so sure whether birts joke about their queen.
