Great video Joe, will you ever bring back gig log or setup tours?

My ADJ O-Clamp failed last Saturday at my gig. I had hung a Chauvet Intimidator 350 from my global truss goal post system and the plastic in the clamp broke right where the screw is tightened. Thank god for the safety cable

DJ Samir i would NEVER use plastic clamps. Just buy a metal clamp, it will hold better and will last way longer.

Hey Joe. What approach do you take when a client asks you what back up you have if you are taken ill on the day?

When I hang my martin mac500s from truss I always double up on safety cables , and if I floor mount them I use florescent safety tape to give a visible barrier around each fixture

I have to take issue with your comment about not placing the leg of the lighting stand toward the audience. While I realize its less of a trip hazard to do it this way, you are also inviting a " tip towards the audience" incident". We are also in earthquake country and if a small trip or a earthquake happened, with the leg forward, the truss or stands would never likely fall forward onto my guests or dance floor. Our insurance company also demands these types of precautions in order to be properly compliant, so please be careful with some of your recommendations.
