It's not common to have washers. They don't even have hot water.
She has had so many falls and head traumas that could have affected her ability to move around,plus a broken hand that healed,then some how was injured again.

I think he used to care about her and tried to do the right thing but something has changed lately because he acts pissed at her all the time now. I also think she has a brain injury along with her other injuries that have had lasting effects. She isn’t as physically or mentally developed as other baby monkeys her age but she still knows when he’s being mean and teasing her and it makes her very upset and afraid.
