The reality is the entire TGIF lineup was struggling by the time the show hit season 6. ABC killed TGIF completely 3 years later. What did them in was by 1997, TGIF's lead in show Family Matters was no longer the hit show it use to be, and was also struggling in ratings. By 97, all the young teens that made these shows hits in their first season, where now in their late teens and early 20s and weren't staying home on Friday night to watch TV.
They never could think of storylines for Brendan, for some reason. Yet they could think of plenty for Dana, J.T., Karen, Al, and Mark throughout the seasons.
We were like that back in the day like the 80's and 90's it was more fun to pick on your sibling and point out little mistakes but the at the end of the day you were family but you were like a best friends it was pretty cool good old days
