How you got n“=800?” For number 2??? 0:28 especially with the use of arrow, I’m confuse and number 12 2:56 ? Could you explain
yes I will explain, and thanks for using timestamps hehehe~
(n/100) x 40 = 8
(40n) / (100) = 8
multiply both sides by 100
40n = 800
divide both sides by 40
n = 800/40 = 80/4 = 20
the arrow just meant,
by cross-multiplication the equation reduces to solving 40n = 800
another way to think about it is diagrammatically:
if you drew 5 equal boxes
and put 8 in each of them
the total is 40 right?
now what percentage of 40 equals 8?
that'll just be one box right?
1 out of 5 is 20%
if you needed to skip doing algebra,
you could solve this problem that way~
@@csec-maths-chem-paper1swhy multiply both sides by 100? And wouldn’t it be “40*100 = 4000n??” Or I’m misinterpreting .
@@TwixMix look at the 27 second mark here
czcams.com/video/s9lFlmSHCGI/video.html
the question repeated on the most recent paper 1
that's how you solve it, that's how you work with fractions
if one-fifth A = y, you multiply both sides by 5 to solve for A
those are the operations to use to isolate a variable on one side of the equation
what you do to one side of the equation, you have to do to the other to preserve the equal sign
x + 5 = y
you have to add both sides by -5 to preserve equality
in this case we have to use multiplication to preserve equality to solve for n
@@TwixMix the 100 cancel's out on the left side
(n over 100) times 100 is n
(40n over 100) times 100 is n
(a over b) times b is just a
Thank you so much
you're very welcome! good luck today!! go get 'em!!!

6:11 Isn’t #25 (A)
If you take 8 from 15 you get -7
Therefore you’d get -21 as the result but the result is really supposed to be 21
you have 15 apples
someone takes 8
how many apples do you now have?
15 - 8 = 7
still a positive amount, yes?
so it's the same here~
15 - 7 = 15 + (-7) = 8
I could've sworn someone asked this exact same question last year~
Please leave your comment live, many can benefit from it!!
If you still have doubts, let me know
I will help you~
with the right amount of follow ups
gpt4 can do every single csec math question correctly
(if it didn't get it right on the first try)
so you can also work with it
(in case you find I'm taking long to respond)
I use copilot on the microsoft bing browser
it uses chatgpt4
you can have an intelligent back n forth conversation with it
it would be able to discuss with you any concerns you have about any of these questions~
I highly recommend it!
you can ask it to solve a problem a different way
and ask why it performed certain steps etc
also, consider that:
if you take 15 from 8 then you get -7
8 - 15 = 8 - (8 + 7) = 8 - 8 - 7 = 0 - 7 = -7
@csec-maths-chem-paper1s God bless your heart
isnt 58 d?
correct
yes D
no the answers correct.
it makes sense to me that it should be D also
It's A. The answer in the video is correct. To find YZ(the opposite side) then youd have to do tangent which is opposite/adjacent. Were also given an angle of 30 degrees, meaning youd have do to 10 tan 30
Cosine is adj/hyp, but we dont have a hypotenuse value so that couldnt work
Everything else in the video is correct though?
