I love how magic is still alive and well even in this digital age. Creativity with a healthy dose of enthusiasm. It brings a smile to my face to see this.
Lol at some of these comments. Great work Shin. Does anyone have any idea how hard it is to perform magic for a camera? A camera misses nothing and can be rewatched, slowed down, etc. They are the absolute hardest spectator in the world. If a person can actually fool you on tv without edits or camera games then that in itself is magic. If you want to learn nothing but methods then rewatch a billion times and try to expose it all to yourself. The best magicians effects will even stand up to this scrutiny. But be careful. Magic dies when it is revealed. That is why some will jump from effect to effect without ever really performing any. BC it is ruined for some the instant the method is revealed. What you felt the very first time you saw that amazing barrage of pure mind boggling wizardry you will never feel again. But some of us are effect driven magicians. And for us. Magic never dies. Thank you Shin for a mind ride I'll never forget with the fism 2015 performance and again on Penn and teller. Truly inspiring.
I can't agree more. Today i was going through some fool us videos and it felt bad when most of the comments on those videos were trying to explain the method either right or wrong. Some magicians were also like "he did a double lift or so".
Hey Shin keep these kind of videos coming,it's a sheare plesure watching you performing! Ofcourse the other are good as well but you're style and skill in my opinion makes you a real showman and the best to watch.
Shin Lim you are AMAZING. I've seen slide of hand and typically can catch a glimpse of something to give away what is being done, but I feel as if I am blind when I watch you, you're AMAZING....
tsusajop Really, look for the slide of hand, what's that? Oh wait, I said that in my comment that I've seen slide of hand before but Shin Lim does it very well, and is EXCELLENT AT IT, did you not read my comment? 99% of slide of hand I can catch, but not with Shin Lim, hence the reason I said I feel as if I am blind... Wow, tsusajop, learn how to read before you jump in a make a comment...
shin lim You are amazing man.. the tricks you do.. the slight of hand.. I love your work. My parents rewatched the act on fool us 2-3 times to see it all over again in a row.. Even in slow motion on youtube its hard to catch your tricks... that last time when you made the pen disappear it was amazing. I am pretty sure you slid it behind your right hand and held it there til you put it in your pants/jacket pocket which always faces backstage when you interacted with the pen.. but your hand looked like it couldn't be holding anything as there were no gabs in your fingers between them.. you are amazing.
I know this is a weird comparison, but as someone who plays high level sport(semi-pro), follows competitive gaming (1.5k hours but still knows less than Jon Snow), and has seen a few experiments in how skills are picked up from, the amount of time and passion a person puts into something shows, and as someone who has only seen a few hours of these tricks, I think you must be cheating somehow, but as I know from my other pursuits, the difference between someone who has invested a thousand hours is just as far away from someone who has invested 5000 hours as someone who has invested 100 hours, who is miles ahead of the clueless like me. Basically, enormous respect for how you have cultivated your art, have no clue how you guys do it, and doubt I ever will :)
This also expands into certain parts of your game, or skills. You can become in the top 1% in that art in 5000 hours, or become the top 0.00001% at a specific part of that art in 5000 hours
Shin Lim, you're out of this world, just unbelievable, please reveal any tricks and do a tutorial! I love see your tricks! Thank you. ( and what's the song ? )
You should make a video explaining the process you went through to learn the magic you know today, and how much work you had to put into it. Basically explaining your journey in while learning magic
Shin lim do you have any plans for a europe tour because i live in the netherlands and i realy want to come to one of your shows or even meet you and you one of the best magicans in my opinion
0:18 yoooo what is that move called thats such a sick idea. Just imagine doing that and then tossing the card and catching it in the fan. Thats a combo right there!
I would bive anything to know how to do only half of these things. If you have any source or tip or amything I would really really love to get help for a master like you are. Thanks in advance. Keep it up.
I've learned this exact trick just watch his right hand closely. (His right not your right.) The left hand moves more than the right so the audience is paying attention to it more. Catch the coin with your right hand and act like your left hand catched it. Watch closely. Pay attention to the moment he caught the coin. His other hand moves more than the other. That's the distraction. Watch the other hand.
Outside of the Harry Potter movies, this is one of the few pieces of live footage we have of Hogwarts.
These new generation of Magicians are incredible!
+Joe Bigornia well u know, 70% of it is based on gimmicks. not that cool
+Тигран Меликсетян There is also a ton of skill involved.
+Coin Magic Underground so true :)
Why you say not that cool? With gimmick you can do much more cool thing than with sleight of hand. And gimmicked magic is a bit easier
+Тигран Меликсетян Did you see that dudes back palm
I love how magic is still alive and well even in this digital age. Creativity with a healthy dose of enthusiasm. It brings a smile to my face to see this.
Sweet! Love it!
Keep up the great work bro!
😳☺️😊🤗😉😘😄😍🥰😙😁😏🤤

Magician Transformed how hard is it not to flash a camera? I mean it's all angles.

Paul Bialozor He meant look for "sleight of hand". You keep saying slide of hand, but the correct terminology is "sleight"

ATOM you can slightly see the card on top of the tictac ;) but still no idea how to hold it before :D maybe a gimic
+ATOM I think there's something that related to magnet and folded card on that trick.
I am sure its posible
