That is a gorgeous brown hair color. i love it. I just colored my hair red for the 1st time and already realizing that this color is high maintenance. I'm going to rock it for a couple months but definitely plan to go back to a brown (my natural color is black).
Exactly.... I fuck it because I didn't Stripe the colour... I didn’t even know that thing existed apart from beach... now roots are brown and it I have like wine hair colour... before was more pinkish than red 😢

I feel the same way girl! I don’t understand their terminology lol😅
She neutralizes the red with a ash based color because the ash is a green base. Then she has to deepen the brown so she goes back in with a deeper brown color lol. Pretty basic if you understand color theory.
It is confusing even if you know color theory. Not sure if she is using RedKen Shades EQ but domestic color lines are generally N is natural. G is golden A is ash M I am not sure what that is. R is Red. V is violet. She is doing 3 different formulas on her head. Only someone experienced can do all this. Cut her base. Cut the red. Color doesn't lift color hence a lower volume developer.

Just found this cuz I’m trying to find some neutral brown to warm brown inspo, and as soon as you pulled out the eq shades I was like ok she is a STYLIST
I went from Red to Black 4 years ago and still have RED UNDERTONES. I have to constantly redye my hair black because the red comes through.... What should I do? 😣 I don’t want to go to the salon.... Also can you add the measurements and info in the link? That will be helpful :)

Same I went from brown hair with blonde highlights to a natural red about a year ago like an orange ginger red and they quit making that dye and my hair dresser got a different dye and said it was similar well since yesterday I have fire engine red hair and I hate it 😔. I'm going to get a few boxes of color oops and then try to dye it myself a brown color. It sucks because my hair is so long like to the top of my behind and I'm so upset with this red

As far as I’m concerned, Effasol is bleach. Maybe a “gentle” bleach if used with water, but still a bleach. I’ve used other basic bleaches with water before too.

Hi! If the goal is lighter then what you have now it can be tricky but it is doable if your hair is virgin !

Looks amazing! I’m trying to achieve this from blonde. Well grown out blonde balayage. I’ve put a mahogany red box on as all I could get where I am and I’m currently a chestnut root to mid and purple ends 😭 not sure what to do now!
Oyyy that’s why box dye is hard it’s very unpredictable - I’d go to a salon and have them do a color remover to get to a clean slate then go in with the brown!

I need help 😭 I don’t have IG so this is the only way to message you- but I got my hair done the other day and she did some low lights and some blonde highlights... the bottom of my hair looks great but for some reason the top of my hair towards my scalp is brassy orange 😢 I got purple shampoo and have used it once but I’m wondering if this is something that can be fixed if I keep using purple shampoo or if I should ask the stylist to fix it? Any advice would be SO appreciated 🙏🏼 you are officially the only hair stylist I trust 😂
Def ask the stylist to fix it, purple shampoo only helps with yellow not orange it means it wasn’t lifted enough!!
