    I climbed Chirripo in 1992. The base camp was just a small hut with room for maybe 6-8 climbers. Watching current videos of Costa Rica I'm amazed at how the country has changed since I was there 30+ years ago. There were no "resorts" back then. Accommodations were sparse and very humble.

    Crestones Base camp is Freeeeeeeezing and the 2 blankets provided are not enough! Take a sleeping Bag!
