Great to see we still have brilliant talent in the Aerospace industry in the UK and Ireland and it hasn't all been lost to overseas.
I used to work at Lucas Aerospace back in the Early 80s to was made redundant because of Maggie Bloody Thatcher and her cronies.😭.
I was actually in Generating systems for the Harrier and early A300,s, also did a lot of work on environmental testing of turbines. The Video brought back lots of happy memories.
Well done excellent presentation.
Staff safe matey.👍👍
Thank you very much Steve. You're absolutely right, and these are jobs that are worth keeping at home rather than farming out to the cheapest bidder. There's a better focus on apprenticeships of late too because businesses and the wider economy are starting to realize the importance of makers and doers. I just hope we as an industry can weather the storm that is Covid and come out of it as unscathed as possible. Sounds like you've had an impressive career! Thanks for watching!
Great job.
APU in 10 mins
Thanks for the excellent explanation. I wished that you had basic block diagram along your good presentation. Thanks for your good efforts. Almighty Allah bless you
Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Your advice was very helpful too.
excellent video, great condensed information in such a small length video. Well done.
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Very nice video covered all basic information. Thanks!
You're very welcome.
Thanks for your information it’s v. Good
You're very welcome!
Are you planning on putting it into your V W ? LOL. Nice one my friend.
Oh trust me I'd love to! It would be very hard to get the power out of it though if you know what I mean. A helicopter turboshaft would be better suited. Jay Leno did it.
I build this APU
Are you an aircraft mechanic at Dublin aerospace? What is it like to work in there and is the salary good? I was thinking of doing apprenticeship there?
Hi. Yes I am. It is a very good place to work. Lots of very nice, talented people to learn from, and the rewards are there. I have been there nearly 10 years. Definitely a good place to do an apprenticeship.
@@Endfloat thanks for the input! I’m very interested I hope it pays off!
@@Endfloat do you know if you have to spend time in Shannon during the apprenticeship?
@@Smithy07sham I can't confirm that 100%, but I believe that's the case, yes. It depends on if whether you're doing the Aircraft Mech apprenticeship or the MAMF one.
