“Big ole cojones!” Yes, Matteo! Jonas is always honest and showed true heart today. Although he is 2nd this year, I still think he rode the best tour of his career this year. Showing his real emotion and dedication to his craft. Lookout next year!

I think it's been demonstrated-in 2022 and 2023-that when Jonas and Tadej are both healthy and in top form, Jonas is the superior rider/climber. Big respect to JV for competing at all in this race after the injuries he suffered in April. The guy is heart and class all the way.

Jorgenson would have been better to describe Jonas as having a big heart - his rides have been gutsy, not ballsy.

How did UAE run up the score? Quickstep drive the pace today, and Tadej is supposed to gift a stage? Yesterday their plan was to break make him suffer and hopefully isolate him. Last weekend he had to gain time - a lot of people, Jonas included said wait till the climbs that suit him and the third week.
UAE clearly had a team designed for the mountains, and Visma was more for the flats.
Sports are designed to crown champions - last I looked nobody remembers who got second place.
