The main difference here: Will's aggression and willingness to put balls in the corners and at sharp angles, while Mark is content tossing out rally ball after rally ball (he was doing this in his match on Real Tennis as well). What's funny is that a couple years ago, Mark could depend on the pace of his rally balls to overwhelm his opponents, but against this level of competition it's not going to be enough to just wait for your opponent to make a mistake.

Look at each player’s court positioning during a typical rally. Iron Will plays much closer to the baseline while Mark plays much deeper in the court. This helps Will be more aggressive and transition to the net more quickly.

I really like Mark's forehand, he had weaponized it well. What seems strange to me is that, though he had a really nice serve--it's reliable and sometimes even menacing--he does seem to get broken fairly often. Iron Will looks like a really tough opponent. His fitness and strength alone would be a lot to have to contend with, but he is really good, too, at point construction. Thanks for the upload.
What a great set! Love the abrupt cuts when Mark or Will yelled haha. Super tough losing that 6-5 game up 40-0 but awesome match.
Ooh love the end with a wild Dill appearing. Will didn't do well against Dill in that extreme heat in their first match so will be interesting to see on his home court how it'll go.

Fun match, Mark with multiple chances to close out that set. I get the forehand slice with a really low ball, but the decision to hit it instead of a standard forehand at times confounds me.
Second set and tiebreaker set were awesome to watch. Neck and neck!!! 🎾
Really like Will's game. Controlled aggression and finishes at the net. Sign me up for a clinic.

Dang, Mark, you had the 2nd set on your racket, up a break twice and 4 set points
Just like in the 1st set you won the shorter rallies (1-4 shots) by 20 to 19 but Will had a slight edge in the 5-8 shot rallies (22 vs 16 for you).
You finished well at the net winning 9/11 points in the 2nd set.
Will also returned your serves well, getting 90% of serves in play.
Your overhead footwork is really awesome 8:45 😲

Will completely lost the energy and footwork in that set.
I noticed recently, Mark is more than willing to slice and play defensive
(like a pusher waiting for his opponent to make the mistake)
then to take it to his opponent with pace and put them under pressure.
Don't know when this strategy came into existance,
but clearly from this match and his other match with Chris....It ain't working.
Yeah, looks like a pressure thing. Hit about a total of two topspin shots in the entire tiebreak. Will's too good at capitalizing and approaching in those situations.

The blue guy is consistent. However his forehand is played with a tight forearm. What we call a chicken wing .. so he isnt getting easy power on that wing when the rally pace is high. He manages when the ball is short or slow... Something to consider improving

Will lacks control. If he worked on that, Mark would never get a game. Mark's grinding game almost worked this time.
Mark is a very good player in terms of skill set but I see 12 year olds in Florida with more tennis IQ.

IW turned it up at the end. Some of those serves omg. Somehow the FH from him looks too close to the body. Even if it is, it’s consistent and hard to read. He can rip it At Will😂.
Somebody says to Mark that tennis is a game of errors. No need to freak out about every mistake....

First! Lets go.
This match all of sudden turned into a WTA match, nobody can hold serve. You guys need to work on optimizing your serive motion, by using the Leg more to explode into the shot. Chain of power on the serve starts with your leg and it transfers all the way to your arm, and into the racket. Oddly enough, if you do this efficiently, you will find better spin control and placement of the serves as well.
