This is the first video of a series I plan to do, this videos shows the process of rendering a player model in blender so that it can be later used as in photoshop for thumbnails.

Hello there! Nice video, quick question: In the animation/modeling part, the curves when I move the bones are very round can I make them more edgie, so it looks more like minecraft?
Do you mean the edges of characters or the smoothness of the animation?
@@DiversifiedPlayz he means the right/left lower arms (or called hands) when he moves them its like too dull he wants it sharp like if you were to make a cube in blender that has super sharp corners then right click and then click the "auto smooth"
How do you import a specific skin into blender?

Hey, I got a question I updated my Minecraft skin but when i load it on blender it's still the old one, is there a way to fix it or do I just need to be patient and wait a few hours.
Mcprep addon uses external API to get MC skin it may take some time, but you can always select your skin from a file, there is an option for that.

I left click on the circle in the Minecraft Rig, but it selects al of Steve and the Material option does not appear. I
pressed A and selected everything but still the material option is not available. I downloaded another RIG and tried it, but situation is the same.Also when I click on Steve, Blender doesn't give me any other option except Object mode.When I click on the grass block, I can access 6 modes and see the material option.I would be grateful for your help. Regards

For the first one try drag clicking the entire model. Second one click on the bones (triangle things)

Press 'swamp simple skin with...' and you ll get ur skin with the second layer

Mcprep has recently added an option to add armor
how do i make my skins layer visible?
add another steve and give the skin again. it will add a version with just a layer. then select both skins and press ctr + j to combine them
So u actually have 2 "steves".You have to selected each and give them the skin.

If it doesn't work there is a upload skin from file button
Make sure to click on the character in blender before you apply skin from username

there will be setting to allow community plugins somewhere you have to enable it
In the .zip there's usually a folder that does nothing but hold another folder, basically an unnecessary step for blender which is making it confused.
Move the folder containing all of the addon files out of the first folder, then delete the now empty folder. This removes that extra step and blender will be able to read the code!
